Sirios Village Hotel & Bungalows - All Inclusive

Super clean modern hotel with great food options.

Returned home last monday. We booked this myself ,my wife,daughter and granddaughter in 2 rooms , We knew after 2 days we had made a mistake we contacted jet 2 online to see if we could change however they informed us it would be £2,700 more and after paying £6,500 already we declined. On day 4 out of 9 i was at reception telling them that the TV would not come on as i give my room number the manager came out and asked me to come into her office. I entered sat down and she asked me why i had contacted jet 2. I Explained we had our 10yr old granddaughter with us and all the other children were not English and would not speak to her. We were told that this hotel was 80% scandinavian and about 15% polish by the manager, so this explained it i feel jet 2 should have made this clear when we booked. Hotel was clean, staff were good but food was average meat seemed to be in sauces all the time and very repetitive ,the all inclusive alcohol was weak and tasteless so much so we bought are own cans and drank them, It was all inclusive however you had a choice of 3 cocktails each evening but nothing like pina colada or the nice cocktails. I feel its not a 4 **** hotel, 3*** at best we walked down the hill on 3 nihts and had a meal in a restaurant on the right hand side was funny to see quite a few people from the hotel eating there as well. Would i go back to this hotel ,NO not even if it was free. We go away every month we stayed in tavira 3 weeks prior to this holiday in a 3 star and it beat this hands down. Another thing if you want a sunbed in shade you need to get your towel down at 6am.

There are a few pluses but the management have lost all sense of reality of the fact customers are having sacrosanct and much saved for holiday time. 5.45pm and we’ve been kicked off our sunbeds so the staff can pack away and close the pool at 6pm. Not a problem except it’s 40 degrees in July heat and dinner doesn’t open until 6pm (yes 6pm wait with young families). Food will be consistently the same at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most of the meat will be dried out and cooked to an inch of its life (un-edible) and many of the dishes if not swimming in water are wilted and regurgitated from the morning- if not the day before. Another day of very dead and unfresh spinach and Greek salad filled with the limp cucumber not eaten at the salad bar. This is the light version. Free drinks… well not really. Hot Cretian beer and fortified wine on tap. If you want a decent drink you pay, and the staff definitely don’t want to be there and look miserable- if they aren’t having a party on their own and smoking behind the bar while having a water fight soaking unsuspecting guests. Pool and rooms look great and we can’t fault the cleaners: however there are 3 pools and all fairly small. Only one is deep enough for an adult the swim so it’s overcrowded. You have to get your towels down by 8.30 if you want a spot. It’s too busy for everyone. All inclusive ice cream bar only open between 10-12 and 2-4pm so it’s only all inclusive for 4 hrs - unless you want the overheated mr whippy in the main kitchen which will be a pool of water within 5 mins. And sadly, this isn’t a resort for the Brits. 2 very sociable and polite young children and the kids club is either Scandinavian or polish - We aren’t sure but non of the kids speak English and they are not interested in making friends in the pool. The only other couple we’ve met with a British child have tried desperately to move out of the resort within a few days as their child is miserably lonely but the manager isn’t interested and just palms them off. This resort is being missold as a British venue on a number of big travel sites such as jet2 and destination 2 which really isn’t great given they must surely know it’s not a British resort. We can almost accept this however when there hasn’t been any site of management all week and the staff are only interested in treating it as a military camp with constant signs telling us all inclusive guests what we can’t do and nothing joyful, it shows that the management have lost all touch with with their guests. And honestly I don’t need the drivel copy and paste response from their management - I need them to OWN it and do something productive than cover their back side. All inclusive is so bad we haven’t had 3 meals a day since we arrived. We’ve bought our own drinks as the “free (but very limited) bar” isn’t up to its offer. As a comparator, we did all inclusive in Cyprus 2 months ago. It was a world between this resort. So yes it looks nice but that’s only the surface This resort has been massively over sold

Exellent hotell!!! The service was amazing with helpful staff, good food and clean facilities. I loved that you got an email the first day with information about everything. It made the trip very easy and enjoyable.

It was a great hotel. Nice pool areas. Family friendly. Perfect mini marked right outside ours hotel rom. Nice walking distance too the beach

Good clean hotel, good variety of food and excellent service. My only issue is the local area, very little to do … other than a 12 euro taxi to the wonderful Chania… Ohh and the evening entertainment, the singers where all average - at best But this didn’t spoil a wonderful holiday

The hotel was overall nice, newly renovated no issues here. The food however left something to be desired, half cold, no taste. The same goes for the drink bad off brand soft drinks and few drinks to choose from. Best for families with children

The resort was realy great, great pool, great facilities, mordern rooms. Food and beverages, were not up to standard though, typical "all-inclusive" quality. a really good resort for children, with daily activities and some good pools. even though the playground, could need an upgrade. Easy acces to the beach, shopping, and bus to go to Chania. Excellent staff All around!!

Nice area with super friendly staff. Perfect location with pool, though a bit cold in May. Snack bar had nice pizzas and sandwiches, soft ice and popcorn machine. The food was sort of the same, a lot of stew-like food and rather boring and tasteless which is sad as this is a rather big aspect in the all inclusive genre. Perfect for small children families with not so high food standards.

Beautiful place, great food, perfect sandy beach, I absolutely love the hotel. The pool for the kids is actually for a bit older kids than mine (mine was 7 and 6 and the mushroom was too sloppy and not so enjoyable as it looks at the photo). But all other things were great and I truly recommend the hotel for any family!
