We didn’t realize that everything was being shut down for end of season. Meaning: no umbrellas/ chairs on beach, very understaffed outdoor restaurant,

The bed was very comfortable. I liked all of the amenities.

We have come to Icona Avalon twice in as many years and enjoy the property. You cannot beat the location, the beach is great here, and the facilities are very good. The beach setup service and the Sand Bar restaurant are a major plus, and very convenient. We stayed in the East Building (closer to the Ocean), on the north side facing the Ocean. Connecting rooms were guaranteed via phone and delivered with no issues. We had an issue this visit related to another guest smoking in his room and the hallway, causing cigar smoke to waft into our room. Supervisory personnel at the front desk were helpful, they intervened, and the situation was resolved. Follow-up from hotel staff on the matter was very good. The onsite brewpub restaurant is "okay" for dinner; very good for breakfast. Breakfast meals in particular were consistent and enjoyed by all. Try the California Breakfast Wrap. The Avalon Prime steakhouse at Windrift across the street was very good, we really enjoyed it. We also recommend trying other restaurants around the area and not confining yourself to the hotel. Try Borghi's by Bay, just a couple blocks away. Bear in mind this is largely, but not totally, a BYOB town. We will return to Icona in the future. Holding back the fifth star is the pricing compared to the overall value. Pricing hovers just around a couple hundred dollars per night above what this Property should really command.

All inclusive and beach, pool, spa , restaurant !

Spent the weekend here as part of a bridal party. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the location couldn’t be better. However, the wedding planning (or lack thereof) was a major disappointment. I truly felt awful for the bride and groom. We we were all left scrambling to coordinate details ourselves, which is the last thing anyone should be doing on such an important day. Honestly, it felt like we were just another wedding on the calendar, with little care or attention from the team. The lack of support definitely changed how I feel about Icona as a wedding venue. On a brighter note, we had the pleasure of meeting the infamous Pasquale. He greeted us warmly and was one of the few genuinely kind and helpful people we encountered. Thank you Pasquale! The room was very clean. The staff was awesome and very welcoming. LOVED the pool and sandbar. We were there for a wedding and you guys hit it out of the park. Pasquale ( at the lobby bar) topped the stay off with his personality and kindness right before we left fantastic all around. My wife and myself are planning a long weekend back there this time next year.
