Kata Palm Resort

We have just enjoyed a lovely holiday at this hotel. The jungle atmosphere was so relaxing and perfect in the very hot August weather. We loved the pools, pool bar, the breakfast was varied and we eat 3 times in the lovely restaurant and had fantastic meals. The room was beautiful, spacious, clean and was cleaned daily by the lovely staff. The staff at the hotel was so polite and would do anything to help. We loved everything about this hotel and hope to return one day.

We absolutely loved our stay here ! If you want an authentic Thai hotel this is it . We chose one of the rooms that opens up to a lazy river . If booking please try to get one ,we’re so glad we did .We loved jumping in as soon as we woke and having a sneaky swim in the moonlight . The rooms are lovely ,and cleaned everyday with fresh towels if wanted . Loved the breakfast choice! An egg bar serving all varieties ,omelettes ,fried etc with crispy bacon always ready . There was traditional Thai and western food ,which we found was great ! I loved a pad Thai for breakfast or some roast chicken and potatoes . Not a conventional breakfast but it worked ,and was exciting being able to try different dishes each day . Ideal location near all the restaurants and shops and walking street for some street food . Also just a 5 min walk to Kata Beach !

Had a lovely stay here, full of traditional charm. Staff very welcoming. Rooms clean, beautiful traditional decor throughout. I would recommend this hotel

Good location rod

Staff is unhappy and speak very little to no zero English at all, so that makes things difficult. They also take 1000 bht from you as a damage deposit. The swim up bars are boring as hell and they treat smokers like cockroaches. Breakfast is blah blah and not delicious. But over all the place is nice, really good tropical surroundings and many pools to choose from. All in all a pretty good value and not a bad place. Barely anyone eats there and there must be a reason for it.

We stayed in a room with pool access. Best decision we made. After spending the day out in the humid weather it was a blessing to step out of the room and straight into the pool. Breakfast every morning was filling and selection of foods to eat was massive and varied and the staff in the dining room were friendly and seemed to know who we were the first morning there. Domestic staff, who you see everyday, were wonderful and seemed happy to help when needed outside of just cleaning rooms. We will be looking at coming back for another holiday.

We had a lovely time as a family at Kata Palm Resort. It's a 5 minute walk from Kata beach with a lot of shops, 7-11s, bars and restaurants nearby as well as a food market near. We found the Kata area to be slightly cheaper than Patong or Karon, both for food and shopping. There's an ATM right outside the hotel too. We were in one of the Blue Wing rooms in the back building and it turned out to be a fantastic location, it is well away from the road and it is where the gym and rooftop swimming pool are located. The rooftop pool was empty most of the time so we had it to ourselves on most days. You can enjoy a swim and enjoy a view to the Big Buddha at the top of the hill behind the building. The hotel is deceptively big and surrounds a tropical garden with a lazy river, so you will have some walking to do regardless of where your room is. The staff was oh so friendly and helpful, they bent over backwards to help with anything we needed, the staff always had a smile on their face, I cannot fathom how anyone could find them unpleasant unless you bring unpleasantness with you to start off with. Brilliant experience overall and we will absolutely go back :)

What a great time me and my daughter in law had, pools lovely and clean, staff were fantastic we had to leave early because of family emergency so had to fly back lady on front desk couldn't help us enough we were in room 2313 we've cant wait to come back in June 26 with more family members, all booked and looking forward to seeing all your friendly staff love Jean and Christie

as far as accommodations in Kata Beach, it is a great value. it's only a short walk to the beach and it has plenty of parking which parking is hard to find in Kata. 15 minute taxi ride to Patong Beach. very family friendly and not crowded like Patong Beach. definitely better for families.

We loved our stay at Kata palm resort. Three awesome pools. Breakfast had many options. We were able to walk to most shops we needed. The staff were lovely. We had originally booked into the royal blue wing, however it is quite a walk to the restaurants and the street, so we moved closer in, the staff facilitated the move with grace. We would stay here again
