The Villa Toscana

The exterior of the home was gorgeous with fantastic Halloween decorations and beautiful architectural elements. There was also the sweetest cat, Taco! As far as the interior of the property, while basic, the room felt very clean.

The first thing I noticed was the odor. It smelled like a bathroom. Ultimately, I don’t think it was actually the smell of a bathroom, but the smell of a basement of an old home. There is a bar next door to the home with an outdoor patio, it was pretty loud the night before my race (I ran the Chicago marathon).

The breakfast was wonderful. We felt so welcome everywhere on this hospitable, very thoughtfully arranged and equipped property. The kitchen was a joy, with plenty of healthy, delicious food choices. The fridge was stocked with organic oj, fresh berries... everything was so clean, fresh, beautifully presented.

I actually enjoyed everything. It's a cute cozy place that's tucked away. It felt like peace from the busy city. Absolutely amazing. Would definitely love to stay again.

Maybe the stairs 😂. Their creaky but it's also a older home. I will say going up and down I was worried we were bothering the other guest.
