The Villa Toscana

I loved the location and the home-like feel. The breakfast is also really great! I'm a digital nomad and startup founder who's always looking for solid places to stay/work in Chicago during my gap times, and this definitely fits the bill. I also really like their reservation flow; it shows that these business owners are customer experience-focused professionals. They also own (or partner with) Big Gay Sal's pizzaria next door, so you're supporting small LGBTQ+ business and community when you stay here. Thank you, I'll definitely be back!

I think the clutter could be straightened up a bit (that's probably because it's still the off-season). As a night owl, I also am not a fan of the kitchen being closed between 10 PM and 6 AM. I usually have a late meal, and I'd love to be able to use the kettle or microwave to heat something up.

The location is ideal if you want to be close to the red line/Addison and Wrigley Field. The lakefront is also within a good walking distance. The breakfast is outstanding! They offer a huge selection.

The room I was in (No 4, in the lower level) was teeny tiny and dark.

Walkable to Wrigley

Absolutely no where to park. Don’t advertise that you have parking then you really don’t. We left the same night with out staying cuz there was no parking.

The front garden was lovely and the bedroom was very well kept and clean. The kitchen area for breakfast was a very nice touch. The location of the house was fun for night life activities.

Wish there was more than one bathroom for the upstairs area. The parking situation was not fun and wish we would have used uber or a taxi.

The BED was incredible. At first I wasn't sure how it would be to sleep in the sort of alcove, but it was the most comfortable and warm bed. Slept like a log every night. Loved the warm shower and excellent furnace, too. Coffee was good, but I didn't find it until my second day. Great walking to places on Broadway, easy to catch the Red Line and connect anywhere, Whole Foods just minutes walk away.

The refrigerator in the room is a FREEZER. It ruined my food by freezing it to solid, including canned drinks, and there was no temperature control.

El barrio está bien comunicado, además es muy animado, lleno de cafeterías y restaurantes. El desayuno del alojamiento está genial y las instalaciones son muy bonitas. El baño está muy bien equipado también.

Lo único que no nos ha gustado del alojamiento es el colchón de nuestra habitación. Estaba lleno de bultos y agujeros y se hacía bastante incómodo dormir ahí.
