Taman Harum Cottages

This was the first time that I had travelled alone and the hotel made me feel so welcome! The shuttle service dropped me off in Ubud whenever required and pucks me up with a phone call so I did not have to pay for taxis once. The layout of the row was lovely and very traditional Balinese. While I was staying the hotel was having a refurb and I am very excited to go back and see the new rooms!

It was nice quiet location. very serene and relaxing. the pool was perfect, the landscape and room have a nice organic feel because of the stone interiors. definitely a must for couples or people who want to get away for awhile. i must say that this is not a good place for people who travel alone as it can get really quiet, unless you like that. Overall, good place, nice location in Ubud plus the staff is very helpful. Price and experience ratio makes this a bargain!

The rooms are old and bathroom not pleasant to be in.

Staff were very helpful. They gave use an opportunity after checking out to shower and freshen up before leaving for the airport. Joining single beds to make a double is not comfortable. It would be great if there were coffee making facilities in the room. Room 216 needs maintenance - shower pipe was reported faulty and not repaired.

A very pleasant quiet place with lovely staff and excellent service, they are genuinely interested in making sure you have a good time. Comfy bed, free wifi, lovely breakfast, aand free shuttle all included with the value for money room rate. Overall a small price for big service.

Dreadful, poor customer service, terrible location and mosquito paradise. You are not in the “country”. You are in an industrial area surrounded by businesses and no restaurants or tourist amenities.

I love this place! It's like being in the middle of a tranquil rainforest, with all the comforts you could want. Tarum Haman is beautifully designed, combining Bali's natural beauty with the grace of its arts and friendly hospitality. The pool is beautiful, the food is divine, the staff are marvellous, the rooms are comfortably appointed. And such character and charm! This is no fixed-pattern hotel, devoid of personality. Here, there are galleries, art everywhere, cultural workshops and flowes everywhere. I will absolutely stay here again. The only drawback is that the hotel is some distance from Ubud, but they offer a free shuttle bus into town, so it is a minimal inconvenience. Stay here. You will love it!

Amazing grounds and super-helpful staff, they all went out of their way to accomodate our every need - the hotel shuttles were like a private taxi service, available whenever you needed them and they also operated outside of the 9am - 10pm operating hours twice to take us to various activities we had planned (including a 6.15am departure). The hotel has a gorgeous and very underused swimming pool, the grounds are green and well kept with flowers and artwork everywhere, free water every day, air-con, hot water, very quiet and relaxing stay. Lots of activites offered by the hotel but no pressure to book - they booked a couple of things for us with other companies when we decided we preffered their programme and the hotel also offers cultural activities like learning how to make a temple offering or a sunrise walk in the rice paddies for around 5 english pounds - both were amazing. Highly reccomend.
