Nevsky Grand Apartments

I had originally booked a room with a double bed, but on arrival they said this was no longer available and I would be getting a room with two twin beds. this was a bit of inconvenience as the single bed was quite small and it was not possible to push them together due to the layout of the furniture. the hotel is in a good location, you can walk to almost all the main attractions in St Petersburg from it and there are restaurants located nearby.

It is a small hotel with superb location - minutes or walking distance from any major attraction. My room was outdated but bery clean. Considering that i only slept there, i did not mind. Breakfast was great, english speaking staff helpfull and professional. Small supermarket close by to buy small necessities.

The service quality at the reception varies largely depending on personal.

Great location just off Nevsky Prospekt and near to Admirality and the Hermitage. Probably about 10 minutes from the Metro. The staff were really friendly and let us check in early which was fantastic when we'd got off a overnight train. The rooms are basic but good value for St P so we were perfectly happy with them.

A very nice hotel, though the neighborhood is somewhat rowdy on the weekend. All in all we enjoyed it.

This is a well located hotel just off the central Nevsky Prospekt, with very pleasant, efficient reception staff, unlike many Russian hotels. The room itself is small - OK for one person, and appears to be well cleaned. The rooms could certainly do with some sound proofing between the rooms. The breakfast is good for a budget hotel, with a fair choice. On the whole a good place for the price.

Very steep steps to reception. My room was noisy, no bar of tea making facility. The drinking water fountain, although reported it broken, was not repaired during my three night stay, so had to go to a different floor to get cold or hot drinking water. There is only one computer on the 7th floor but it was available most of the time and the connection was OK. Helpful reception staff. Generally good breakfast but it looks like they employed a new apprentice who was learning on the job (the bananas were pealed and cut small and were turning black and the apples were sliced small and left to rust, However this was rectified the second day and all was OK). Excellent location to all must see areas. There is a supermarket nearby for convenience shopping.

Fantastic location for tourists, second to none in St. Petersburg. Nevsky Prospect is just steps away. Hotel itself is a little tired and rooms are a somewhat small. However, rooms are clean, staff is attentive and friendly, and breakfast is quite adequate. If one is on budget but wants a 100% location, Nevsky Grand should definitely be considered.

I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful, especially the young woman at reception when I was there. She couldn't have been nicer. The location is very good; if you're a walker like me it's nearly ideal. Can walk to the Hermitage, the Nevsky Prospekt is just down the street. The breakfast buffet was good and good value as well. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Wonderful location and very decent hotel , rooms are surprisingly big and have everything including airconditioher for this price and class of hotel , full bathroom , amenities . Clean . Breakfast is full - enough for to be not hungry till evening , can satisfy all kind of appetite . Next time I go to StPetersburg I 'll choose this hotel again .I 'v been in several hotels for the same price in St Petersburg before - Nevsky Grand hotel is the best .
