The Manor on Golden Pond

We were fortunate to find the Van Horn Estate for a lunch destination for a motorcycle tour through the White Mountains with 67 attendees. The entire experience was exceptional from the first communication to the final bite of brownie! The food the chef prepared was superb and the ambience of the Mirador event space is top-notch. The estate views are picturesque. Truly a wonderful lunch and stay at The Manor on Golden Pond.

I recently enjoyed staying at the Manor at Van Horn Estate, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional guest services that truly set the tone for our stay. Each staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly and committed to making our visit enjoyable, embodying a level of hospitality that deserves five stars. The accommodations were spotless and comfortable, providing a welcoming environment with a fantastic view of the grounds and the lake. At night, the view from our deck provided a romantic setting with up lighting that didn’t affect the ability to see the stars. Our room offered a wonderfully comfy bed, ensuring restful nights after our busy days hiking the trails around the Loon Center and West Rattlesnake Mountain. Breakfast each morning was a delightful experience, with a delicious spread that catered to all tastes. I rate restaurants on their ability to cook eggs differently. The poached eggs on the eggs Benedict were perfect. We also had dinner at the bistro, where we were pleasantly surprised by the whole menu and fantastic wine selection. The service there was top-notch, making each meal a memorable one. We do enjoyed staying at the Manor at Van Horn Estate, and I can't recommend it enough! All staff were wonderful, generous, and accommodating. The Manor is a beautiful building in a picturesque corner of Squam Lake!

The Manor is 10/10! Our stay here was peaceful. Van Horn Estate is beautifully tucked away overlooking Squam Lake. This is a must stay!!

We spent the weekend attending a family wedding at your stunning property, which was perfect! Our suite was brand new, with a private deck overlooking lawns, gardens, and the Lake! Every meal - delicious! Walking distance to fun restaurants & bars. We loved it all, and will be back! Thank you!

Gorgeous renovation! Rooms are wonderful! Grounds and views of mountains and lakes are beautiful! Staff is friendly and helpful! Bonus is the restaurant and bar downstairs! Terrific atmosphere and service!

I returned to the Manor on Golden Pond after two years, everything had been beautifully remodeled and redecorated. Outstanding quality of food and services!

The Manor is an historic place in Holderness, NH. The amazing staff went above and beyond. The beautiful location also made this a great experience.

The Manor was very nice and has the potential to be beautiful when the renovations are completed. My concern is that I asked for a room recommendation and was told the annex would be much quieter and the preferred accommodation. The room was smaller (and more expensive) than our friends' room in the main building and not nearly as nice. We were also awakened at 7am by construction right beside our room, so it was not quiet at all. The experience was disappointing and not up to what one would expect from Relais and Chateaux.
