This place is a beautiful cozy place in town with friendly staff. I liked everything about it, there's 2 cats that roam around the house. Be sure not to let them out. Also, note that you can't use the kitchen at night, so make sure you put whatever you need in the refrigerator before hand and keep snacks in your room if you plan to munch a bit.

This was a fun place to stay right in Lake Placid! The room was clean, quiet, and relaxing. The location is so convenient to get to anywhere in town or the trails outside of town. The staff was super helpful with any questions or services. They even helped me print a document for business that I had forgotten to print before I left.This was my second stay here and I will definitely be back!

We stayed in the "apartment," a flat in a building that probably was built before 1970. It was up a flight of outside stairs and had a small kitchen, a tiny bathroom, a bedroom with a double bed and a sitting area with a futon. We enjoyed a full kitchen, limited outlets, and acceptable wifi. We slept fine. The breakfast was homemade bread with jams and instant oatmeal. I would have preferred oatmeal cooked from whole oats. Chatting with guests and the hosts at breakfast was a lot of fun.

It was a decent place to stay for the cost. The owners should think about replacing mattresses. In my room queen mattress was sloaping toward center. In my daughter's room it was soft. The was only a shower in her room that she wasn't told about. Luckily my 3 yr old grandson was able to take a bath in my room. As others have said, coffee was extremely weak. There should have been sugar free options for those on restricted diets. Packaged oatmeal was only maple sugar, and cereal options all had added sugars. I would still stay there again but now I know better..

In LP for a meeting at the ADK Loj but didn’t want to stay there. We read the reviews, especially the negative ones. I’m allergic to cats but they were in the common areas only so I was ok. Other reviewers complained about the bed and room size. All rooms are different in an old house. Ours, room 6, had a comfortable queen bed in a spacious room. Yes, breakfast was not a large buffet but was fine for us. Fortunately, the upstairs people didn’t move around much—floor creaks loudly when they did move. Overall, a nice place to stay and we would do so again.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Room very spacious. Not the most new room but honestly was refreshing change from chain hotels that are all the same, the place has some character. I would absolutely stay here again. The price compared to room received is a bargain.
