Spruce Lodge Bed & Breakfast & Guest Cottage

This property, built in 1910, was charming and tastefully appointed. The ladies on staff were friendly and helpful. We missed reading lights for the double bed.

The property is absolutely charming. My bed was made of tree bows. It is basically a heritage house, so breakfast is served in the old dining room and living room which are beautiful. The staff were very friendly but unobtrusive. Condition of the property and cleanliness were outstanding. I recommend this property without reservation. It's where I will plan to stay the next time I am in Lake Placid

Nice and cosy close to town centre. Comfortable room and very clean.

A great budget option just about a 15 minute walk from the main part of town.

I can accept steet noise - but we could hear the person snoring above us. Not to mention. I think they were attempting to get their 10k steps. The floor boards creaked, could hear the toilet paper roll spin and the water with every flush and the shower. Needless to say no sleep and at 7:30’when we left - no breakfast ...

Spruce Lodge is a rare find! Our second stay here- extremely clean and homey. Carol the owner is helpful and gives you privacy and a tasty continental breakfast. You have an assigned parking spot since it’s limited, which is nice because you get a guaranteed spot. You have to exchange your towels which helps you stay green! At this cost, a 10 minute walk to town, and delicious restaurants nearby, it’s becoming our preference over big expensive stays in town! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Spruce Lodge B&B. Clean, comfortable, quiet, generous breakfast and walking distance into Lake Placid.

We came to Lake Placid after more than two weeks driving in many states. We were pretty tired and wanted just one night break. So the Lodge where we stayed was very good, despite the small room on the top of the stairs. The breakfast was frugal but tasty and the room was clean.

We stayed in the main house which was an old farm house that has been very well maintained and decorated. Nice updated bathroom with a nice hot shower which felt great after hiking Mount Marcy on a windy rainy day! The queen bed was a bit hard and one side was up against the wall. Breakfast was simple but filling. Overall comfort level was good!
