Very convenient and nice room. Only cons... hostess not friendly and breakfast was disappointing.

Very good cost effective option, room is old but kept up pretty well. There aren’t enough # of outlets for all the devices but it’s expected with historical houses. Breakfast is continental style starting at 8a, you may want to decline if planning to take a first track at Whiteface. Owner has cats, something to consider if you have cat allergy..:

Our review is not for a Four Seasons high brow, expensive accommodation, but rather for a charming vintage bed and breakfast in the mountains that has clean, comfortable and warm rooms. It's been owned and run by the same family for three generations and they obviously care about the house and property. We were in room 7, which had a neat queen with a wood-branch canopy and log posts, plus two more beds in a bunk bed configuration. Inexpensive and a real value -- we're glad we found it!!

No frills, but just fine for what we needed.

Nothing fancy and room is very dated but fine place to stay for those on a budget. Room was big. Breakfast nothing fancy and coffee very weak.

It was clean, but needs some serious updating.some peeling paint, rickety stairs.

This place is amazing. Clean , fresh and beautifully decorated rooms. Feels like at home.

Not much privacy - our room was off the main area, and when we used the bed it squeaked loudly. She was not happy about that. But the place was nice.

Easy walk to Main ST. 2nd stay in the 2 BR cottage. Liked the full kitchen & comfy Living room. Plenty of dishes & bath supplies. No closet in 2nd BR but large walk in closet in main BR.

Price and location were the biggest draws for me. The B&B is only about a mile from downtown Lake Placid, and is close to many other area attractions. The breakfast is a bit sparse, but the homemade bread that the owner makes is delicious! There are three cats that are relatively friendly. I'm allergic to cats but didn't have a problem after taking Zyrtec for the week leading up to my stay.
