"Quaint, great location, good price"

8.0

The cottage was great for the six of us. The kitchen and living room were spacious enough giving us the opportunity to make our own meals and relax in a home environment. The upstairs was slanted and felt a little odd when walking. The top bunk was much too close to the ceiling, so much so, that we moved the mattress to the floor. The upstairs stayed too warm. Additionally, we had to be creative with only one bathroom in the cottage located only on the 2nd floor. However, everything was clean and working, and the strengths outweighed any drawbacks. Overall a great place to stay which we would rent again.

"Short walk to downtown"

10.0

We came to Lake Placid for the ISU Skate America championship and were surprised the price of this place was so reasonable for a room. The room was clean and homey, the bed was comfortable, and in the mornings there was a continental breakfast of cereal and breads and coffee, etc. The B&B was down a pretty steep hill from the downtown area and olympic facilities, but the walk otherwise was 15ish minutes. So much easier to walk it from there rather than trying to park downtown. There were 3 cats milling around in case that's a worry for you, but they didn't bother us at all and weren't allowed in the kitchen area during breakfast. The owners were women and very helpful. Would definitely stay again!

"Borrowed room for evening "

8.0

I was staying in town for my cousins long awaited wedding. I was rushed but happy to be up north. Felt invited to be borrowing room. The room I rented had it's own separate bathroom adjacent in the hall. Small bathroom but it served its purpose nicely. Though I elected to leave early and not enjoy the breakfast I'm sure it was delicious

"Great place with reasonable cost"

10.0

It was convenient for us to hike Cascade mountains. As long as you are NOT too sensitive sleep, it is a great place to stay. Our room was beside Route 73 W/E.

"Not your typical B&B - BEWARE PARKING ISSUE"

6.0

Basically you get what you pay for. The place was clean and was good for the price. The remodeling was not great and just pieced together. The breakfast was not homemade and consisted of cereal oatmeal bread coffee and tea. The other thing to be aware of is they have cats. Which is odd that they don't allow pets. The main issue we had was we received a phone call while we were at Brewfest telling us one of out vehicles would be towed because they only allow one per room. We had 2 vehicles because we were coming from different places. This was not noted on their website or our reservation! In the end they did not tow one but this was a hassle and disrupted our evening.

"Nice Place to stay in Lake Placid"

10.0

I stayed there for overnight to Hike Marcy, so location was perfect. Overall a pretty decent stay given location, price and general comfort. Not a luxury place at least the single bed and detached bathroom considered, though for this price I should not expect more. Very clean, bath small but clean, organized and for my purpose comfortable. I did not stay long to comment on service except one thought I have. Breakfast time on a saturday was 8-930 am? which was unusual, as most places have it 7-10 am. I told them I would leave at 630 for my hike but they did not offer that I could use kitchen or have some packed breakfast or anything, that would have shown courtesy and service, even though I dont eat breakfast. I still would highly recommend the place as I found it clean and comfortable for a short stay.
