The staff was very nice, the price was by far the best.

The breakfast was good, but not the best.

I stayed one night at the Washington Guest House to visit St George’s Bristol. I got a bus from the Temple Meads train station. St George’s is ten minutes walk away. The staff at reception were friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and comfortable, including the bathroom. The room included a tv, as well as tea and coffee. I had a quiet night's sleep. I enjoyed a good breakfast before checking out. There was a range of breakfast options and staff were friendly and accommodating. I was pleased I had chosen to stay at the Washington rather than a chain hotel.

The staff members were lovely and ready to help, they gave me an adaptor when mine gave out. Location was awesome and near bus stops (easy link to the airport, train station etc.) and major tourist points, so I didn't really need to use public transportation to move around. Room had everything I needed, a good amount of pillows too. It was warm inside.

The downsides are mainly unimportant: the kettle had lots of lime and needs cleaning, so I didn't use it. The carpet seemed dirty, but then again, it's a carpet in a hotel room. There was a slight smell in the bathroom, which I now realise might be mold.

The shower was an in-bath shower, but there was no anti-slip surface.

We arrived at the Washington Guest House for our visit to St George's Theatre. The guest house is in a nice central location for this venue. There is very limited parking available on site; however, the guest house provides parking permits for nearby side street parking. We were greeted at reception by a very pleasant young lady who checked us into our room. Although the building is a little tired in places, our room was clean and presentable. Guests should be aware that there are many steps throughout the property, so it may not be best suited for people with mobility issues. The breakfast area was nicely laid out, offering a selection of cereals, cheeses, meats, various yoghurts, and a traditional English breakfast. There were a couple of minor issues: no teaspoons were available or plates for the toast, so we had to ask for them. The young lady serving breakfast was friendly and helpful. The kitchen and waiting staff should be aware that guests can hear all the laughing, joking, and general tomfoolery coming from the kitchen area. Perhaps some background music in the dining room would help to soften this. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Lovely hotel in Clifton so perfect location to walk into city centre easily and also get to wonderful spots such as Clifton Suspension Bridge. Reception service from Yanna & Katie was super sweet and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was delicious even though slight mix-up with the order, they sorted it out and all was good in the end although belated. Parking was good too and they allowed us to stay a little extra until the afternoon which was much appreciated. Overall, value was great and would come again. Thank you so much.
