"Very nice for the price and the excellent staff."

Staff was excellent and helpful from reserving a room to support during our stay. The hotel and room was very clean. The location, while not right downtown, was good and close to everything we chose to do.

The safe and the air conditioner were not functioning properly in our room. Staff attended to this immediately and worked to resolve both issues but we had to wait a bit for them to do so.

Felt so cozy and loved then room. The staff was so sweet and overall a really good stay. Very clean as well

The only negative was the bed was uncomfortable but otherwise loved it!

The hotel is in a super busy location of Portland, Maine right near the hospital. Ambulance sirens went off many times during the night. our room was literally wedged between the reception desk and the restaurant next door AT STREET LEVEL. Our room was literally inches away from the sidewalk outside where a guy and a shopping cart was there when we arrived. This was a semi-seedy part of Portland which I didn't realize so paying almost $300 for the one night was pretty ridiculous. If you don't travel a lot or don't care much about the hotels you stay in, then it's likely fine for you. But as an experienced world traveler with high hotel standards, I don't see how this hotel earned the rating it got.

"Best hotel stay ever!"

This was truly the loveliest hotel that I have ever encountered. The breakfast was outstanding - coffee, flavored coffee, many types of tea, 2 kinds of yogurt, hard boiled eggs, donuts, bagels, oatmeal, dry cereal, juice, oranges and apples. The staff was friendly, and the owner made a point of speaking to us. The room was beautiful, bed was comfortable, tv was easy to use. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. Location was central and easy to get to restaurants.

Nothing - it was really perfect. Sorry my pics aren't the best but the wallpaper was really pretty!
