The University Inn at Emory

I liked how close it was to the hospital , and how they let me check in earlier then check in time I really appreciated that accommodation

Wasn’t anything could really complain about except there was black hair all over my shower and the water wasn’t very hot in the shower

The experience: I booked a room to arrive on Friday and leave on Sunday. I was traveling with my three children, and when I got to check in I was told my reservation was for Saturday checking out Monday. I checked my email and I had received an email two days prior from an email account different from my first purchase confirmation email informing me that my room was ready—this had gone to spam and I didn’t see it until I searched at check in. I was told that this was a computer error. They were trying to open up a room and charge me more than twice my original rate, but were struggling to find me a room. I ended up sleeping on a relatives floor that night thankfully rather than in my car in downtown Atlanta with my baby and two small children. I had no choice but to check in for my second day and they acknowledged the error and offered me a credit for another stay as a refund. I declined because I cannot afford to book into a hotel that might decide to just not have a room for me. They refunded the amount for the first night which really felt like the absolute minimum they could do. If you aren’t worried about needing a place to stay, then this works fine. Otherwise I’d advise the Marriott nearby, they’ve never told me at check in that I need to find somewhere else to sleep after I paid, booked and got confirmation. The room: the room was spacious and clean. Had a mini fridge for my breastmilk and a mini microwave. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was old and needs repair, there was no plug in the bath and the ceramic wasn’t sealed, it was cracking and peeling, so I couldn’t give the kids baths or take a shower after the floor night. I will not be back. I cannot take the risk that my family will just not have a room.

The first lady was rude to us. The beds made noise everytime you move. They charge you $7.50 a night to park plus tax if you don't book with them. I was furious. That i have to pay to park because I booked through another site. The sink was stopped up. I reported it the next day No elevators. We had to walk 3 flights of stairs. The front desk person have to give you ice. I have stayed at alot of hotels all over the country and never had to pay for parking.

The location is very conveniently located very closely to Emory University Medical Clinics and Hospital. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The room was well appointed with flat screen television, coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. My wife and I were very comfortable and able to sleep soundly through the night. The atmosphere of the area felt very safe and the rooms were very secure. We visit the area frequently and will definitely be returning when we do.

Just stayed i had a surgery the next morning and was really convenient. Everything was clean and nice.I'm ready at the desk was also helpful organized

Staff was the best.

Registration was a bit difficult. An online login would be helpful. The room adequate, but not as clean as hoped. Lightbulbs were out in the sink area. The grab and go breakfast was adequate, but awkward since there was no seating. We were happy to be so near Emory hospital during my surgery which was the reason we stayed at The University Inn.
