We enjoyed the staff and the food for breakfast was wonderful!

Beautiful stay at the Carr house ends. Troy greeted us and gave us a great orientation to the end. We did not take advantage of the wine hour, but we’re directed to an excellent seafood restaurant and walkable distance. Definitely the most charming part of Eureka. Breakfast was fabulous. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Had a fantastic stay at the Carter Inn! The hotel is full of charm and character, with incredibly comfortable beds. Troy and the front desk team went above and beyond. Don’t miss the breakfast - it was definitely a highlight!

Beautiful Victorian in all the modern conveniences. Great location to see the redwoods and other interesting sites. Breakfast were amble and delicious and we had a dinner one night that was also very good. Staff was friendly and welcoming and helpful. Only issue was housekeeping was substandard. Otherwise an outstanding place to stay in Eureka.

It was everything we could have wanted. When we checked into the hotel, we met Sarah, who was so warm and welcoming. We had stayed at the Carter House 31 years earlier on our honeymoon. To celebrate our return, the hotel upgraded us to a beautiful suite. We stayed in room 202, a corner suite, with eight windows. It was light, bright, and spacious. The fireplace was beautiful, and the jetted tub was amazing. It came outfitted with everything we could have possibly needed. What distinguished our stay even more than the accommodations was the first-class service. Everyone we met wanted to give us the best possible experience. They really cared, and it showed! When we had a problem with our car and thought we might need to extend our stay, the manager, Troy, came up with the perfect solution. The hotel staff was there for us 100% of the way. Before we booked our stay at the Carter House, we considered other options, but we are so glad we decided to stay there. It is definitely the place to be in the Eureka/Arcata area. I lived in Eureka when the Carter Inns were built. I have always enjoyed staying there when I visit. The staff is very attentive. The linens are lovely. It was very noisy. The walls seem very thin. But the positives still out way the negatives.

A beautiful and charming old Victorian Inn, yet with all the modern conveniences. A room was spacious and very well equipped, especially the gas fireplace, which was great to have on cool nights. Breakfast were substantial and delicious and we had dinner one night, which was also very good. The staff was very, very friendly And very helpful with suggestions for days activities. The only issue we had was that housekeeping did not do a very thorough job. But we still really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we’re in the area. It’s a great location to see all the beautiful redwood Groves and otheramazing sites to see in the national state parks.

I love Carter House Inns! This was my third visit. I always stay in the Library Suite, in the lovely Victorian rebuild across the street from the main building. The staff is very kind, the vibes are immaculate, and I can’t think of a better place to stay in Eureka.

The hotel is located in the old town and very well kept Victorian style bed and breakfast place. The hotel staffs was very kind especially,Troy couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was great and dinner at 301 restaurant was excellent. The testing menu was just great in terms of the price, quality and presentation.
