Carter House Inns

We had a marvelous stay, It was elegant, comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The evening wine by the fire is a sweet way to start your stay. I recommend that you go early to breakfast, before the quiche runs out, but my scrambled eggs were also fine.

This is a group of Inns in Eureka, and we were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The rooms are older but impeccably maintained and very comfortable. And the service was exceptional! Sarah at the front desk was fantastic. The breakfast was great, and the complimentary glass of wine was an added benefit. This is a very nice option in Eureka.

My wife had an unfortunate medical emergency and hospital stay while vacationing at Carter House, they were more than accommodating at a time when we needed it. Best food we had in Eureka as well. Want to say thanks again to ownership, management, and staff. Josh Walker

It’s the second time I’ve stayed at the Carter House Inn. We were able to check in early as we had a celebration of life to attend for a family member. Rebecca, the front desk staff was accommodating and very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent! I highly recommend this place!

We loved staying at The Carter House. The staff provided first class service. The breakfast and dinner in their restaurant was top chef quality. Their wine collection is massive noted by Wine Spectator. They take service and guest satisfaction very seriously. We didn’t get a room upgrade but that could be because we had our larger dog with us. They are very dog friendly.

Exceptional service, Cat, Rebekah and the management were super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and our every need met. We rented the Bell Cottage. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The location was good and had no issues parking on the street in front or were welcome to park beside the hotel. The breakfast included was excellent and plentiful. We would definitely recommend and stay again

We stayed for 4 nights in a Suite while exploring the Redwoods. The town is full of reproduction Victorian era architecture and some of it is impeccably maintained. There is a homeless problem in the town so be ready for it. The hotel was once a quality restoration of a period building, today it is somewhat faded grandeur if not shabby. The breakfast is excellent and the staff were helpful and efficient.

Loved this ole Victorian house- was perfect for our family of eight. Enjoyed our evenings with a glass of wine around the fireplace in the living room. Troy was especially helpful with any questions/suggestions. (Alas no ghosts).Complementary breakfast was delicious! But highlight was the redwoods! Hope to return

Great breakfast, great bartender and staff. Rooms aren’t fancy, but it’s a bed and breakfast type place. The charm is worth it as are the people. They hire well!

Everything was great, was nervous about parking, but truck was there in the morning.
