We loved the whole experience staying 3 nights here in Eureka - the inn’s location was perfect and our room really comfortable. Historic Victorians and restaurants close by as well as the waterfront. Friendly helpful staff, amazing breakfasts and a cute bar for socializing in the late afternoon/evening including a fireplace lounge area. Highly recommend staying here, and we shall return!

Wow! We loved our stay and too bad for just one night!! Troy Ritchie - you are an outstanding host and from the moment we walked in you convinced us immediately that your intention and pleasure was to make us welcome. Thank you for setting us up in Bell Cottage in such a lovely room! The bartender and drinks were amazing, the locals who we met at the bar and spent a good time speaking with reflect the quality of your Inns, and the breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Special thanks for the vegan donuts and attention to my wife’s diet including gluten free and vegan. We’ll be back!

First of all, this is a lovely hotel, with extremely clean, spacious, and well appointed rooms. But the staff are what make the place really fantastic. They are as naturally friendly as you can be and bend over backwards to help guests feel welcome to the Hotel and to the area.

I stayed 2 nights - a week apart to and from the Bay Area. I've just sent an email asking what brand mattress the hotel uses because I didn't have back pain either morning! It was amazing! The ambiance of the hotel is always lovely. I appreciate the complimentary glass of wine in the evening, and although I wasn't able to stay for the sit-down breakfast this time, I love that apples and beverages are always available. Looking forward to my next trip to Eureka! I always stay at Carter House. <3 <3 <3
