Red Roof Inn & Suites Newport - Middletown, RI

The front desk staff member was initially friendly during check-in, and the location was easy to find. Unfortunately, the positive impression ended quickly once I entered the room.

Both rooms I was assigned had cleanliness and maintenance issues, including animal hair on the bedding, stained mattresses and pillows, dusty bed frames, and a bathroom that appeared worn down with a rusted tub. The bathroom door in the second room could not fully open because it hit the toilet, and a fly came out of the bathroom drain. When I asked about a refund so I could stay somewhere else, I was told to contact the third-party booking service. The situation escalated later when staff accused me of smoking and came to my door demanding that I leave the property. I felt uncomfortable and called the police for assistance in leaving safely. Since then, multiple charges from the hotel have appeared on my bank account while the situation is being disputed.

No breakfast served. Staff courteous and friendly. Room clean and functional. I wish they did have some kind of breakfast,

Drove over an hour to the property only to be told they gave my room away and that they had another at double the price a night , they lied and said they tried to contact me several times

Roaches infested hotel, also very rude customer service with the lady in front desk.

Nothing was included not heat nor TV

They use police as a weapon when you complain about service. They have no rooms and defame your character in the remarks section when you call corporate for a refund......
