"Highly Recommend Cardiff by the Sea Lodge"

This was such a cute little lodge, with a very friendly and welcoming staff. It was close to many things we wanted to see - La Jolla and Torrey Pines; Carlsbad; some birding hotspots. There is a rooftop deck which is so pleasant with views of the ocean and it is within walking distance of the beach. We were happy to have the breakfast options they offered, which was coffee, organic juice, muffins and yogurt. There is a coffee shop across the street and walking distance to restaurants and a nice market. I would highly recommend Cardiff by the Sea Lodge to anyone visiting the greater San Diego area/coast.

"Beautiful setting, lovely room, kind and attentive staff."

We had a lovely and relaxing stay here, on our way to visit friends in Carlsbad. We loved sitting in the roof terrace at sunset. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable.

"Great location, not worth the price"

Fantastic location, great decor, and friendly staff.

Was not as clean as a high-price hotel should be. There was a ball of hair in our blanket, a cockroach in the bathroom, and some mildew in the shower.

Just a lovely boutique hotel, the design of it is particularly unique. The rooftop patio was the big bonus, views were stunning over the Pacific. The room was beautifully decorated in a very modern , tasteful design !! Loved all of it !!!

We had a great stay. It was a beautiful room, clean, and great amenities. It was such a relaxing atmosphere. The view from the roof was gorgeous, and it’s close to a lot of great restaurants and coffee. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

"A comfortable spot away from home"

We love the lodge because of its location and intimate, B&B-like beach vibe. The staff is always polite and helpful. And, the rooms are a good size, clean, and nicely decorated. The rooftop deck is awesome for HH or to just chill.
