Anantara Chiang Mai Resort

The food in bodhi & 1921 both were outstanding. the staff was super courteous. Organizing the day trip with Tony driver to white blue temple etc was outstanding. Must stay in this place

Very good atmosphere, a very well-trained staff attentive to details, and excellent facilities. Overall, it was a very good experience. What should be improved is the quality of the restaurants, which do not match the high standard of the hotel. The steakhouse is far below expectations, both in terms of the food quality and the staff.

De kamer was echt fantastisch. We hebben al veel gezien, maar we vonden dit heel goed. Ook de grootte van het resort vonden we heel fijn. Niet te klein, maar ook zeker niet te groot. Ook de Spa was erg goed. De twee restaurants waren van een prima kwaliteit. Het ontbijt was zoals eigenlijk overal in Azië gewoon heel goed. Personeel is goed getraind en waren heel lief. Vooral nadat mijn partner ziek was geworden. Ze hebben hem erg goed verzorgd. Dank daarvoor.

Beautiful, relaxing, delightful resort -- I only wish we had planned to stay longer! The rooms and grounds are well-maintained and expansive, and the breakfast buffet is exceptional. The Night Bazaar is minutes away on foot, and the Old City is not much further (or a short Grab ride). We also really enjoyed the new "Colonial Dining Experience" menu at the 1921 House; I'll post about that separately to the restaurant page. Chiang Mai has no shortage of excellent hospitality, but the Anantara may well be the best.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip. Faultless from the hotel and staff, very friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. They left us a nice surprise on arrival and again during dinner we got another surprise from the hotel. Song in the Bodhi Terrace is brilliant

Chiang Mai was our second stop in Thailand, and it had a totally different vibe than Bangkok. It was wonderful to get to experience this area with the culture, elephants, and markets. The Anantara sits beautifully in a serene area near the river. We were greeted by the very attentive staff and brought to an immense and well appointed room. The large glass wall facing out gives you a beautiful view of the grounds and meditative pool. We saw some traditional dancers and moving to peaceful music. The large windows did make us feel a bit exposed, as the view out allows for a view into our room as well, so we drew the shades when we needed privacy. We had dinner at the steak house restaurant, 1921. The food and service were excellent. Later meals at the Bodhi Terrace were wonderful as well, serving a delicious traditional Thai dishes. Breakfast was very good with a wide array of choices for any appetite. The room was gorgeous, the service was wonderful, and the location near the markets was perfect for exploring. We highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious getaway.

The staff were lovely and very accommodating The breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice The room was fantastic and it appeared that every need was already anticipated This hotel alone would draw us back to returning to Chaing Mai Well done to the whole team, what a refreshing experience to come away feeling that you have had a memorable good value experience

This was our first stay when we arrived at Thailand and it was hard for any other to compare. The service was impeccable. The front desk staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable, including booking our next stay (as the inn we wanted to stay at in Chiang Dao didn’t speak English or do online bookings). When we brought left overs back one day, they heated them up and plated it for us even though it wasn’t their food. From the bi-weekly mosquito steaming to the daily turn down service, various bath salts to use this was true luxury. Truly one of the best resorts we have ever stayed at.

This hotel is absolutely stunning, and the service can't be beat. We felt so well taken care of and enjoyed absolutely everything. The spa was incredible! We loved the breakfast buffet. The team is all so friendly, helpful and professional. Can't say enough great things about the Anantara!

So lucky to have had the opportunity to visit this beautiful hotel. It’s a pool of calm in the centre of Chiang Mai. Rooms and public spaces are perfect for vacation but best of all are the staff who are just top notch and really made us feel welcome and that nothing is a problem.
