Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa Kovalam

Within a 15-20 minute drive from the international airport, this beachside + backwater inside the property, makes Taj Green Cove the perfect gateway to Kerala. We stayed here 3 nights, and barely left the property. There is always so much to do! Be it catching a breathtaking sunset over high tea or drinks at Bait, the beachside resturaunt. Cycling, or flying kites or taking a boat ride along the lagoon, our 5-yr old was super happy, and we were relaxed and rejuvenated. I took the ayurvedic treatment at the spa, which is something I would highly recommend for anyone looking for rejuvenation and relaxation. You can feel the stress leave your body! The rooms were a bit dated for our liking, but it's part of the charm of the place. Taj never disappoints in hospitality and going of the way to make each guest feel special. Joel and Nethra at the front desk were always around to help us place some excursions during the day, and patiently addressed all our requests. Trust me, which when travelling with a child are many! Food is amazing! Service & taste at Jasmine Bay, under Su Chef Harish Rawat was a great expereince at each meal! The breakfast always has a large variety both with indian, regional and continental options. The dosas we had each day, are probably the best we have ever had. We even tasted a few regional specialities which were fabtastic. Harish managed all our diety requirements (lactose free meals, low gluten) very well, and our little one got all the special attention which made meals with her so simple. The flora, fauna, ambience, sound of the rustling waves, and the top notch cleanliness around the property were refreshing, and makes one feel close to nature. It's a place I definitely plan to come back! Just one tip - go for the sea facing rooms to take your stay here up a notch.

Location Great. Rooms are cozy, vintage style and pleasant. Great value for Money. Chef Mr Harish Rawat and his team is excellence and had a great flavour. Your cooking reflects mastery, discipline, and pure passion—with a warmth that carries the taste of friendship. Dining here is not just a meal; it’s a privilege.

Location of the property is fabulous.So many activities are included inside the resort itself like cycling,boating,kite flying. It was such a memorable place. The staff is so hospitable and so polite that you feel like home there. This is a beautiful property with gorgeous ocean views. Hospitality is top notch and unmatched. Abhishek was a great host, every team member was fantastic and makes sure you get taken care of. Chef Harish Rawat gave us special importance and to our kids especially by providing everything our kids need.He made sure that we feel comfortable. Dhiresh hospitality is to notch.We are so thankful to him.He came everytime at our table to ask if we need anything. High tea time is too relaxing.

Excellent private location in Kovalum. The security, restaurant, service staff were exceptional. This is very well-designed layout, with excellent pool, restaurant, private room facilities. It is an impressive resort. However, the rooms are overdue for a refresh. The rooms are tired; the bedding and wash linens are old. The Taj management would do well to put some money into the resort. Restaurant prices are high

This is one of those magical properties you keep going back to !...Absolutely outstanding hospitality..The dedicated team make sure you are very comfortable and so well looked after with endless smiles..They will assist you every way possible !.. . A tropical ,homely luxurious paradise ,secluded with breathtaking views and the Backwater Lagoon facing the beach ! I will definitely be going back again !

Great experience overall, Chef Harish Rawat was absolutely exceptional. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented and , full of flavour. Excellent service by Abhisekh Kumar. He was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal making the meal experience even more enjoyable. Out stay at Taj was memorable as the entire staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed at Taj Green Cove, Kovalam, and honestly… it’s one of those places that quietly gets under your skin. The property alone is sandwiched within the splashing waves of the Arabian Sea on one side and the calm, lotus bearing, fish clad backwaters on the other side. The location is unreal. Green everywhere. Sea in the distance. Most of the time, all you hear are birds and the waves. No chaos. No rush. Just calm...serene. The only downside to the place, maybe since we are city folks, too much green, too much forest at time feels like living inside a densely rich forest. One gets to experience sunsets during hi-tea when the hotel greets you with freshly made tea on their private but secure beach with an option to enjoy sea food at their restaurant 'Bait'! The rooms are big, airy, and full of plants, especially on the balconies. You wake up feeling fresh, like your lungs are actually working better. Sounds like a dream—but it’s true. Time literally slows down, very unreal but amazing. Also this place doesn’t have any lifts or escalators but steps to everywhere and secretly enough makes you work out and stay fit. You have to climb down the stairs from your little cottages to the the food area and then again down to the reception area….although there are electrically operated golf carts to take you to and fro but walking seems to be the best medicine. Yes, it’s pricey...but its worth every penny and more....and once you’re there, it makes sense. The food quality, the staff, the way the place feels—it’s worth it. Easily better than our experience. Cleanliness: top notch
Noise: zero—unless you count the sea and the birds.
Service: warm and friendly. The food deserves its own mention. Light, balanced, not oily, not overly spicy or sweet. The kind of food that makes you feel good after eating it. Rare. Truly. Our tip go for the ala carte menu to be satiated fully . Special thanks to Chef Harish Rawat, Mr. Abhishek from the restaurant, Sonali (restaurant services) from Kolkata, and Abhimanyu from Midnapur (restaurant services)—all wonderful people who genuinely care about what they do. And honestly, the entire team carries the same energy. We left feeling rested, happy, and a little reluctant to return to real life…would absolutely recommend this place.
