Terrace Inn and 1911 Restaurant

Charming inn. Good food.

No soundproofing. We could hear the tv next door even though it wasn't turned up that loud. Then we could fully hear snoring in that same room which was disconcerting and kind of gross.

The staff was excellent answering every and giving us the history of the inn and neighborhood. I love the location

The internet for our phone sucked a good amount of the time. The tv signal was spotty. The bathroom sink faucet dripped continuously. Didn’t bother me but it wasn’t right

Great accommodations amid the hustle and bustle of Petoskey summer tourism. Food was fantastic and local MI derived as much as able. Staff were all friendly and accommodating.

I thought the breakfast was excellent and it was located and made a nice place

Everything was great. I can’t think of nothing. I did not like.

Great value. Good food. Wonderful atmosphere. Friendly service. Three story walk up gave us a good workout… We could tell we were better at it by the end of our stay!

Housekeeping service left a little to be desired. Found hair in the sink when we took possession of the room. Requested room service a day later and had the same problem.

The staff was fabulous. They are friendly, attentive, and very willing to help. There was a mix-up with my room at check-in and they were able to correct it and were very apologetic and kind. Additionally, I accidentally got mud on the bath mat even after completely washing my shoes. Your staff could not have been more gracious about this. Thank you so much! The room was just the right size for me and had a lovely view. The inn was quiet and restful.

Breakfast was OK the first two days (TH/F). I just wish it was more than a continental breakfast for the price of the room. However, Saturday, they ran out of yogurt (the only other protein was boiled eggs) and were also cutting some of the pastries in half to serve. I was told they were "waiting on delivery". Why were we getting less food for the same price? Monday was even less food (all pastries were cut in half, or had run out), everything seemed to be running out. They put out cheese slices and salami to replace the missing food. Personally, I hate salami. While I was grateful for the attempt to add protein, could they not have gone to a grocery store to get better food instead of waiting on a delivery? Also, the whole fruit appeared to be unwashed every day. This is really unsafe and unappetizing. The final straw on breakfast on Monday: As several of us were quietly enjoying breakfast on the veranda, two men with VERY loud equipment started doing yard work right under the veranda (about 8:30a.m.) and completely drowned out any attempt to enjoy the morning or have a conversation while eating breakfast. Was it really necessary to do this during meal service? A side note that didn't fit in either category, It would be really helpful to have information in the room detailing all available services, meals, parking, etc. and info on local eating and attractions. I didn't see this in my room.

The historic charm and the neighborhood. I also loved the back terrace and the proximity to the beach.

Breakfast did not have very many choices. It also was not replenished frequently. Our room had no bathroom vanity. So there was nowhere to put down any makeup,.toiletries, etc.
