Altstadt Hotel Magic Luzern

We liked the property’s proximity to many of the sights to see in Luzern, however one day we came back from a day of going out and the door was wide open. We doubled checked when we left that the door was closed, so it must have been housekeeping that left our door wide open. Luckily all our things were still in the room and not stolen. After that we did not let housekeeping come into our room in fear that they would leave our door wide open again.

Perfect area

The receptionist guy not friendly, I left my insulin at the room and i came back from olten back to luzern to retrieve my insulin and i ran from the train station to the hotel and the receptionist guy was so rude he thought i was rushing him, i was just out of breath because i ran from the terminal worried that the cleaner threw my insulin, he was rude when i was asking him if they already cleaned the room. He said i dont know!!! And just gave me key to the room and look for it .

Check in was at another hotel so we needed to walk to our hotel and then to the check in hotel and back with all of our suitcases Hotel said it had parking but they didn’t have available

Excellent location in historic inner city! Walkable everywhere in town to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing from the hotel! Wonderful staff at checking office located right at the hotel Krone right around the corner! Clean room and facility! Only very few utility vehicles as that part of the city is closed to traffic! Only minutes away walk from the train station across the bridge. Thank you altstadt Magic lucern hotel!👍

Save yourself and your trip by not booking this property. All the things mentioned in other reviews (webs, check in at other hotel, no parking, terrible odour in the room, and flight of stairs) are all true. I wasted 1 hr just to find the hotel, another hr to cancel the property and find another hotel because the hotel was in such poor state.

Amazing location. Hotel rooms are simple but clean. I’d stay at this hotel again!

There are several different rooms offered at this location. Be aware that not all rooms are appropriate for all people. Someone over six feet tall would find the shower in the Angel Room of this hotel very difficult.

Terrible property. It’s not a Hotel rather a horrible bedroom only. Hard to locate
