Holiday Inn Express Toledo West - Napoleon by IHG

Traveled with my service dog and had a good experience until I got my credit card bill. There was an additional $150 charge (more than half of the agreed on charge) on my bill. When I called and asked about it I was told it was because the dog had urinated on the floor. My dog did NOT urinate in the room, I travel with a well housebroken service dog who was never unsupervised. I did trip that morning and spill a small amount of water on the carpet. Basically I was told it was my word against theirs and there was nothing I could do. Great scam when you can't legally charge a pet fee.

Their web site states hot breakfast this morning I got handed a bag with a bottle of water, an apple, a chocolate roll, and nature valley granola bar. They also advertise a pool and hot tub which is not in operation. Had I of known I would have not stayed in this hotel. I could have stayed at a budget hotel an saved a lot of money. Many hotels did the grab and go breakfast and closed amenities because of covid however if they were concerned about the spread of covid then they would have required mask to be worn in the public areas, but they did not. This is the 5th holiday inn I stayed at in the past month and the worst I have ever stayed at. I went down to get some hot chocolate at around 7 last night and the coffee and hot water was put away. She went and got me some hot water. All of the holiday inn's I have stayed at have 24 hour coffee. Some make cookies and one that I stay at frequently has popcorn at 4 makes cookies and then has ice cream later. I posted 2 reviews with the hotel web site one good and this one which was poor. only the good one posted on April 6th.

I stayed here on January 14th. I booked through my works discount page. After paying for my room they charged me an additional $190 and $250 WITH NO EXPLNATION. I have tried for several days to call and speak with a manager but I never get one and they never return my calls. We have been staying here for at least 12 years and now that they are under new management things have changed for the worst. They are now a Holday Inn Express. We have another event coming in February where we have the whole hotel basically booked. I have cancelled and I have warned everyone else about their ways.

This seem to be a newly renovated hotel which advertised free breakfast but nothing was offered and didn't reflect on a lower rate either and no discount offered. On top of that there are very limited breakfast options around town.

The hotel was nice and the service was friendly but the pool and hot tub were closed and no one told us at check in or when we made our reservation. My kids were very disappointed. Then we came down for breakfast and there was none. Also very disappointed.

It was a really nice place to stay at. Would do it again.

The hotel itself looks very nice from the outside and the inside has a lot of potential. Lots of roof leaks in entryway and lower level hallways. I will have to say they were accommodating to us our first room the heat didn’t work so they upgraded us to a bigger room and the heat worked. But the beds are extremely uncomfortable. Hard to get a good nights sleep. The hotel was quiet so that was nice. So much potential at this hotel but not all that great.

It was a simple no frills hotel.

We picked the property because it had a spa and pool Working all day in 10 degree weather, spa sounds really good. Upon check in found that pool and spa were closed for remodeling....igh
