Waikoloa Colony Villas

The carpets and furniture were light colored and showed several stains. The inside walls had scraps and needed paint. Three of the window blinds did not work properly. Downstairs bath needed an exhaust fan or make the window work (it would not open). Housekeeping didn't come daily as stated and they removed the kitchen towels and dishcloth but did not replace them. They needed to replenish the toilet paper (we ended our stay with one roll for two baths and four people.

Unit needed more basic dining items, eg dinner/salad plates, drinking glasses, serving tongs and a larger frying pan. Lowest AC temperature control setting was 74 degrees...unit was too warm.

The staff were great, the grounds were beautiful, and the condo was perfect for a family of four.

We stayed in a beautiful condo (#509). The condo was clean, comfortable, and in a quiet gated community. Had we been more familiar with the island, we would have stayed here for our entire time on the island and made day trips. The complex is hard to identify as there is no sign staying it is Aston. Since the property is gated, you must call from the gate to enter.

Me, my wife, and children spent a wonderful week at AWCV. Staff was great, house was clean, and there was functional fitness room on site!

Very nice accommodations with full kitchen and nice pools; close to other hotels and 1 mile to beach with great sunsets. Good food at the nearby Marriott and good shopping too.

We have stayed in many Waikaloa condos. this one might be the nicest from the perspective of rooms/space, but was much farther from the beach than we thought from the website.

I travelled with my wife, daughter and my parents to the Big Island over the 4th of July. This was the first trip to Hawaii for me, my wife, and my daughter, but my folks have been many times. My parents stayed at the Villas on their previous trip and were very pleased. Overall, we were very pleased with the location and accomodations and would (and have) recommended it to others. We stayed in a three bedroom villa neat the back gate of the property. All three bedrooms were comfortably (and tastefully) furnished. There was a large family room with plenty of room for all five of us. The kitchen was well appointed with all the pots, pans, utensils, and dishware we needed. The unit also came with a washer and dryer. One thing to be aware of if you are coming with a group - the property is gated (with the gate closed 24x7) and they only provide a single device per villa for opening the gate. This took us by surprise as we rented two vehicles. We managed without too much difficulty but it was a slight inconvenience. If you are planning on renting multiple vehicles for your stay, you may want to call ahead to see if that policy is still in effect.

We really liked the location and size of the rooms in this villa. Although our initial request for 1King/1Queen or 2 Queens was not honored, and we had to work with the hotel the next day to move us to a better room, they did do a good job the next day to get us a different room. Overall our stay was satisfactory. We were also happy with the location especially, the stores around the resort.
