The Merchant City Inn

For the price and location this was a pretty decent hotel. The staff was friendly but the breakfast options were quite lackluster. However over all, as I stated before, for the price and location it worked well.

Can't remember the lovely young man who was there checking us in and doing the evening shift. What a delightful asset he is to your business. Full of fun and positive energy.

It is a hostel, a basic hostel, not a 3 star hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location right in the centre of town.

We only stayed one night and the location was ideal for us because it is very close to Queen Street Station. The room was clean but the building was fairly noisy in that we could hear the people above us very clearly even when speaking at what sounded like very low volume. Fine place to stay if you're in and out for a night.

Cool old building in a central location. The rooms were clean but a bit on the small side. The downside is it gets quite noise from the local pubs until 1-2am so little chance of getting sleep before then unless you have very good ear plugs....not great if you have an early start!

Clean and comfortable room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great central location. Not suitable for people with mobility issues as it is an old building with lots of stairs, some of them are spiral stairs.

The steep stairs to the 3rd floor. Pillows too firm.
