Castle at Waikīkī Grand

Very convenient to buses for regular transport, and if you have a booked tour/show of some kind, it’s close walking distance to the ‘main hotels’ that shuttle buses will pick you up from (e.g Queen Kapiolani Hotel, Waikiki Marriott Resort & Spa etc.) Good view of the zoo & beach, nice little kitchen area, fast wifi, comfy beds & good AC. 😊 It really was like staying in your own little apartment, and staff were friendly. Fellow guests were also not too rowdy!

Nothing too major to note. The balcony we were at was small & a little tight but still had a good view nonetheless. Remember that things like washing clothes, changing bins & towels etc. need to be done by you. If you have wet clothes from the beach, maybe bring/buy a mini clothing-line to dry them in the balcony section.

Das Apartment war vom Grundriss her schön, nur leider sah es nicht so wie auf den Bildern. der Preis war für die Lage gut, aber es war alles sehr abgewohnt und der Teppich verdreckt.

Es war ziemlich dreckig und verwohnt, Kakerlaken haben wir zum Glück nicht gesehen, aber ich habe mich die ganze Zeit über nicht richtig wohl gefühlt. Beim nächsten Mal würde ich mehr Geld ausgeben und eine hochwertigere Unterkunft wählen.

Not at all like advertised. Had to go to a different hotel room just for a code to access the property. Very dingy falling apart. There was an AC unit but a vent in the bathroom was blowing hot air which cancels out the ac.

The staff were very nice and friendly. I give them top ratings. The location was fabulous. Can’t get any better being close to the beach and the park.

The physical facility was subpar. There was supposed to be a complete kitchen. Couldn’t really cook there. No stove, just a very small microwave and hot plate. The table was very shabby. The room was really rough. There were no bedspreads, just mismatched blankets on the 2 beds. The paint and trim were uneven and chipped. The refrigerator made a loud grinding noise at night. The television connection cut out about every 10 minutes. This continued all the time the TV was on. There was an in-room safe that didn’t work. When I inquired about it, the staff confirmed it didn’t work. Why don’t the owners fix it or remove it? Don’t know how they can advertise this room the way they do. Very subpar.

I reserved an "ocean view" room...the Ocean view was from the lanai looking around the wall, or through a mirror on the opposite wall--more than a bit misleading. I was a late arrival, but the check-in for this property evidently closed at 11:00 P.M. We were able to get in by checking in with the neighboring property, but they weren't sure which parking spot I'd be assigned. Since everything was electronic, all of the relevant info could have been sent beforehand.

The location is amazing. Steps from the beach. This room had a great view.

Surprise cleaning fee $159 up front! Unknown to me. Restaurant/bar is 21+ only (did not advertise that before I booked) I have 8?yr old child with me. Also pool was not open due to construction (also not disclosed before I booked). Then was asked to move to another room shortly after settling in. Evening front desk clerk Jonathan was very rude and out of line!! I actually rate my experience a big fat zero! Also was not disclosed that the var Hulas is a gay bar!
