Castle at Waikīkī Grand

Location is excellent. Beach is down the street

Service wise staff were super friendly and accommodating. It was great that we were given a variety of towels and a couple of beach chairs. laundry services were also handy. Unit 400 had amazing aircon and a full kitchen which is what we were after for both rooms.

Both rooms shared several problems, most notably the lack of ventilation and poor lighting. Unit 400 had a very strong damp smell. The uncomfortable beds in both units and stained, possibly mouldy towels were consistent across both spaces. Unit 402 has a broken bed frame and the bed is a cheap spring model. There were also no effective noise reduction measures and the curtains did not block out any light, making it difficult to get a peaceful rest. The lack of proper security, especially in Unit 402 with the broken balcony lock and that anyone can enter any floor added to the feeling of insecurity, which was unsettling. The storage bag room was also unsecured and anyone could walk in and out. Additionally, the room descriptions were misleading, as neither unit lived up to expectations set by the photos or descriptions online.

You can not beat the price. The location is great. Price was lowest for Waikiki. Staff were very friendly. Roxi, the manager, was especially super friendly. AC works well. It was nice to have a microwave and a very small kitchenette. Our room was very easily accessible. Bottle openers, utensils, and plates were very helpful.

Old fashioned small room. I stubbed my toe every night. Too many old furniture in a tiny room. Electric plugs are just barely adequate; I had to choose between my CPAP and the light fixture on my side. It was a squeeze fit me to get to my side of the bed. The Sink was tiny. The shower was very small. I could barely fit in it. Sound of trash pickup every early morning at about 4 am. I had to ask for shampoo and body cleaners. Nothing was cleaned until we left.

The staff were very helpful and the facilities and location were awesome. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

We were not aware Castle Grand was not the main hotel but separate company with rooms in the hotel. Because checkin was an actual Room and not a lobby desk seemed sketchy.
