"Great stay here. Simon was very helpful recommending places to see and restaurants to eat at."

Great quiet location, only a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. Fabulous fresh breakfast served on the beautiful patio each morning.

"We had a magical 2-night stay at Cheshire Cat Inn & Cottages"

10.0

Three of us stayed for two nights in one of the delightful cottages. Everything was perfect. Check in was a breeze and we corresponded with staff through text message, which was quite efficient. The cottage was wicked clean and very nicely furnished. One of our travelers had mobility issues, so the staff personally delivered our breakfasts to the cottage at a prearranged time. The location of the Inn and cottages couldn't be better and when we tired of walking, everything was easily accessed by Ubers. I loved my stay here!

I don't think there was anything I didn't like.

We stayed in a charming and cozy room in a charming and cozy house. Lovely breakfast. Appreciated the daily fresh baked goods. Close to SB State Street but also quiet. Exceptional value for Santa Barbara especially.

"My best experience at a hotel in Santa Barbara so far. I will book it again for my next trip."

10.0

The inn and garden are charming and clean, with good soundproofing in the windows. The breakfast options are good, real food cooked onsite, not the standard prepackaged hotel breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The shower gel, shampoo, lotion, etc. are high quality and smell wonderful. The parking lot is convenient and did not fill up, and included a charger for electric vehicles.

My only issue is a very tiny one: for some reason the towel hooks in the Eberle room are installed very high up the wall.

"Lovely staff and great location, but the tiny rooms and basic amenities don't justify the price"

4.0

The staff here was incredibly friendly and on point with all communication from start to finish. A wonderful, thoughtful touch was the delicious homemade snacks like cookies and brownies that they left around the property for guests to enjoy. The location is also fantastic, sitting within easy walking distance to the start of downtown Santa Barbara.

For the steep price I paid, I felt the value just wasn't there. While it’s a charming historic building, our room was extremely cramped. The bathroom was so small that the sink was actually located out in the main room area. Privacy was also an issue, the rooms are so close together that our neighbors accidentally connected their phone to our TV, and the bed was quite uncomfortable and squeaky. Lastly, the breakfast fell short of the rave reviews. It consisted of the same juice and coffee you can find at a work conference, plain croissants with no spreads (like Nutella), and a tiny frittata with yogurt. For a luxury price tag on a very important anniversary weekend, we expected a more private, unique, and high-end experience rather than feeling like I overpaid.
