Inn at Starlight Lake & Restaurant

I love staying at Starlight Inn. It is peaceful and quiet and the food is amazing. If you are looking for an old fashioned Inn, instead of a modern, sterile, boring motel, this is the place for you!

My wife and I were staying at the fabulous Lodge at Starlight Lake. She wanted to eat dinner the first night at someplace close to the Lodge and made a dinner reservation at the Inn. If it were possible to leave a rating with no stars I would. We were the only customers in the dining room. The staff including the owner were not friendly and the food was barely worth eating. We will never go back to that location

Great location overlooking the Lake. The inn is 115 years old but that adds to the experience. Worn but clean. Nice restaurant with good food.

The Inn is a great getaway. It's 112 years old, owned by the current family for 16 years. HB is a great chef, who would do well in a high-end environment, but is at the Inn, since she's family. My puppy and I stayed in a cabin which was clean with new carpet. We sat by and walked around the lake. Winding down is not my thing, however. (No tv and poor cell phone reception in the cabin.)

Great place to spend a weekend with family to enjoy a delicious dinner and lake view. Room are clean, staff are friendly. Yes, they don’t have TV in the room, but it is you don’t need TV when having good time with family.

Nice Inn. Very friendly staff and great food. I was surprised at variety of choices on menu. I would have liked to stay longer and try other dishes. Wife and I walked up road near lake and back before dinner. Quiet safe area. It is a old Inn and has some age related issues but really enjoyed the stay and liked the creaking staircase in a nostalgic way. Reminded me of my uncles farmhouse when I was a child.

This is certainly an old hotel as its history will attest. The rooms are small and lack most modern amenities, so be prepared. The breakfast is good and the staff is nice but if you are looking for some place with TV, coffee makers, microwaves, etc. in the room, this is not the place. If you want someplace that has been around a while, has a quaint quirky charm about it, I'd recommend here.

Spent a night by myself as I was doing a local fishing trip. The property is a bit older, but I found everything neat and clean, and the staff very friendly. The hotel has a large library like lobby, game rooms and even a bar/restaurant which reminded me of an old style New England Inn. Would certainly recommend, and I plan on returning for my next fishing weekend.

We were looking for a quiet little lake for swimming, canoeing and an immersion in nature and Starlight Lake and its lovely little inn filled the bill in a superb way. Sari the innkeeper is most helpful and gracious, the beds are comfortable, and the food is delicious and affordable. This is a heritage inn dating back to the days when families arrived for the summer by train and the men who came out to join them on the weekends stayed in tents! The amenities today are luxurious in comparison but clearly the inn has seen better days. (If you are expecting a modern resort you may be disappointed.) I can't imagine what it costs to keep up such a place and can only hope they will be able to keep it going for future generations. So little of that grand age is still around, and this is truly a national treasure. We will be back often!
