Absolutely Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Mère Poulard hotel, and everything about the experience exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. The check-in process was smooth, and we were given all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. The bed was cozy, the linens were fresh, and the amenities were thoughtful – everything from the toiletries to the in-room coffee and tea was high quality. What stood out most was the attention to detail and the genuine hospitality. The location was perfect AND THE VIEW from our room was spectacular – close to everything we wanted to see but also peaceful enough for a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was another highlight: fresh, varied, and delicious, with something for every taste. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and already looking forward to our next visit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay!

Sold purely on location. Rooms are basic with no historical preservation or care, doors broken, shower cold, bathroom smelly, bedroom dirty (bedsheets clean) and a lampshade full of dead flies and live ones flying around getting ready to join them. We expected a historical room with higgledy pickledy floors and beautiful features. We got a basic functional room in a beautiful place and an excellent view. It did enable us to be close to the Abbey for the night light show (costs extra). However there are a good few hotels beside the carpark and free shuttle buses between the island and the carpark run until 1 AM at this time of year. Overall, overpriced, but it is the second most visited site in France, second only to the Eiffel tower.

If there was an option to give a negative star rating I would select that but 1 star is as low as I can go. -room wasn’t available until (5:00) well after our check in time (4:00) -dirty lobby (stains on the sofa, dirty carpet) -hallway to our room was disgusting -our room was disgusting, stains all over the walls, dusty, fridge had something growing in it, stained mattress, stained bedding, something that looked like human waste wiped on the side of the bed We left and requested for our money back.

Primitive accomodations at a premium price. The carpets were filthy and the staff unconcerned for the client. Stay elsewhere if you can, preferably not on Mont Sainte-Michel.

Beautiful view from the room, the hotel needs renovation.

Awful experience with subpar rooms that have seen better days and a bathroom desperately in need of renovation. We were kept awake by blaring music from the hotel between 7pm and 3am and reception didn't even bother answering the phone. When we did speak with someone they pretended the line was bad which was total nonsense. Only positive was the decent breakfast. This place is a total rip off and trades off nostalgia. Avoid.

Great place and great room also

Ambiance and location was spectacular, I would stay there again. Omelettes were good but I should have ordered the lamb. Abbey at night is a must if you can.

The views from our rooms were the most amazing. We marveled at every inch of the city. Trip to the top was awesome.

Wonderful! Very much enjoyed the stay and dinner at Le Mére Poulard. A dream come true!
