"Metropole Review "

Hotel Looks impressive from the outside and grand (certain areas) inside. However it was a little dated and tired looking (which is understandable for a hotel of this size) do not think it was worth the money for the night stay though, only used it for convenience really.

Scaffolding all along the side of the building! Pretty much covering the sea view. Way to overpriced for the look nd feel of the hotel. Was loud at night but that’s just apart of the night life. Felt abit understaffed nd rundown

Hotel is looking very tired, we had a sea view masked by scaffolding. Windows filthy and room needed some tlc. The hotel is in a great position near to the tower but needs updating.

"You get what you pay for. Staff are lovely"

8.0

Didn’t like there was no secure left luggage facility it was a camera on a stage. The staff are extremely helpful. It’s just a shame the Britannia hotel group don’t invest much money in their properties as back in the day they would be stunning buildings. But looking very dated now

"Metropole Hotel"

Smashing hotel, missing the small details to make it exceptional, such as toiletries and decent loo roll, bed was comfy, staff were really helpful and friendly. Definitely going back as soon as possible,

"Excellent"

One of the oldest hotels in Blackpool and had a feel that in bygone years this was the place to be The public rooms were tired looking and looking a bit cluttered. COVID safe rules were in place and seem to be complied with. The bedroom was small, but clean and the the shower was brilliant. The view from the window was of a night club and thankfully was closed. Finally the Price £39 quid for a room, Cheap as Chips !! so for an excellent price in a fantastic location on the Promenade, in a OK hotel this is good value.

"It was something…"

6.0

For a cheap hotel it’s not the worst around, but if your coming in summer I’d highly recommend a different hotel as they don’t let you use fans in the room (no air conditioning and window opens the smallest amount). not to mention only 2 plug sockets in the room (one being for the tv) seemed like it had just had a quick clean, stains on chair and dust over dressing table, a stain on the sheet… and make sure if you go in the lift to wear a mask the smell of the carpet in the lift is something else…

the bed room wasnt shown when booking it showed different rooms that where lovely and when it came to ours it was abot rubbish it was cramped with a small tv that was hard to watch, there was no way of getting fresh air into the bedroom and there was no air-conditioning to keep the room cool.the room also smelt bad like someone didnt clean the room properly.

"Former glory fades to cheap and cheerful "

6.0

The hotel is very tired and in need of a great deal of TLC. However, if it’s a simple overnight stay you’re after, clean bedding and a shower in the morning, all for a very reasonable cost, this hotel is just fine.
