The Metropole Hotel

Great staff,can't do enough. Central hotel for al the attractions, pubs and restaurants.

Location of the hotel was fab over looking the sea, I was disappointed that we couldn’t have our room untill 4pm then we had to check out at 10am the next morning, then when we did get our room I noticed we couldn’t open the windows they had put a plastic window in to stop the noise coming threw as we was by the Main Street the room became very hot there was no air and with the covid rooms are surpose to be well ventilated, the mattress and pillows were very hard so I had no sleep all night,

i booked and payed for 3 days but got told by hotel we could only stay for 2 days .....i will not be useing your site again rip off

Weather was amazing, had an absolute blast. The room was like an absolute sauna though, there was no fancy or air conditioning to cool it down only a tiny window so just had to bake to death like a cake in a oven.

Couldn’t fault the hotel just staff where abrupt and unfriendly not very welcoming when it’s the first time I’ve stayed in a hotel in over a year ans was already anxious wasn’t told of any COVID restrictions

View from window, North Pier and Tower. Very much a landmark building, the only one on the Promenade, but needs bringing into the 21st Century, practices like having to walk full length of hotel from restaurant to bar to get wine for dinner (then pay cash only) are ridiculous - particularlty as for Covid rules everything else is brought to your table and you're menat to remain seated

The hotel was clean and followed social distance rules & regulations. Reduced charge for parking was good but at times it was difficult to move car because of cars parking outwith parking bays.

Only stayed 1 night, the room was average but okay, breakfast service was excellent however small ( 2 bacon 1 sausage, hash brown, egg, tomato and beans) for £7:50 not very good value. Would stay here again as is in a good location.

It was ok apart from the room we stay in a room with a generator outside so couldn't get to sleep staff lady who was collecting glasses all black she had on she look like she was half cut (drunk) and a moody waiter a guy didnt like the way he was talking to the other people on the table next to us

The staff were unhelpful they couldn’t find my booking yet I had references emails and payment receipts, they made me pay again for a room that was not what I wanted but all they had left,
