Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort

Disappointed, very noisy rooms Overall we did not have a terrible time , but it lacked the finesse of a 5 Star hotel. Great breakfast, but the staff should allocate tables upon entry , 2 people sitting at tables designed for 6 and single people sitting at tables Brant for 4 lead to sometimes chaotic scenes and waiting for tables. 1 coffee machine only in the breakfast room we used . Rooms not serviced until later in the day , yet we heard the rooms being cleaned from early , above and below us - very noisily No information on excursions and trips to do without having to queue for concierge, who then made their prices up as they went along.. No booklet in the rooms on hotel facilities- just QR codes !! No proper bar area, that we found . Restaurants were good especially the lighthouse but repetitive , sane drinks same wines in each place. My tips would be request a high floor( quieter I imagine) with pool view, the rooms were nicely furnished and the beds very comfy . Visit Moments restaurant across the bay which is fabulous with live music and lovely views but contact the restaurant to arrange a speedboat transfer, do not organise through the hotel otherwise the cost will be double ..

Very comfortable room and view of the mountains and lake all around the hotel. Also, there are very convenient dining options located on the property.

Outstanding location and staff. Not really a family hotel and there isn’t much around it but the views are spectacular and the food was much better than I expected. I was really impressed by the attentiveness of the staff and the overall friendly vibe.

The only positives about this place is the pool and beach are nice and the area is good due to being close to Kotor. HOWEVER, there are so many negatives. The website is extremely misleading, we booked a hot tub room and there was NO privacy, it is a shared balcony with the neighbours, even though website states it’s private, and the views are even worse. We were looking at a concrete roof and a car park which was well hidden in the website, we even complained to the manager and he said we had one of the best views in the hotel which makes me wonder what other people had to deal with. Our hot tub also did not work, only 1 out of the 4 jets were working and when we asked why the topic of conversation was quickly switched, it was also very unclean as there was a lot of dirt in the hot tub and i even found a insect wing in my bikini later on.The rooms weren’t much better, they were not cleaned to a 5 star standard, there was mildew in the hot tub and the sinks and also the AC doesn’t work which is shocking in the temperatures montenegro can reach. We complained to the manager and some of the things he said made the experience just that much worse. When we complained about the AC he was coming up with excuses like Montenegro is developing slowly ( we responded that the other hotels we stayed in had AC that worked so well it was too cold in the room), then he said in all the Hyatt Regency’s he’s worked in they have had this issue as the AC is old (so then shouldn’t be a 5 star hotel). Also after we complained, the staff stopped being so polite and they would avoid talking to us which was just rude. We asked for a full refund on the final night ( we were supposed to stay for 2 nights) so we could stay at the Monte Palm Beach which was a much better experience then here, this was denied and he offered a free dinner and a massage, which obviously doesn’t make up for the misleading on this hotel. He kept denying the refund saying they can’t do it due to strict rules, but booking.com (who we booked with) says a refund should be available if there is any misleading. So we have taken matters into our own hands as they were so useless. Stay anywhere else but here it is not worth the money, especially the food.

Great Stay!! Best hotel in Montenegro. Beach was amazing, service was amazing, the place is impeccable. Loved it so much.

The property is managed by an army of interns, well meaning but not what you expect from a quality property. Poor service, inflexible options at restaurants ( can’t swap a sauce in pasta), average food quality. Normally a 5 star property is more flexible in restaurants/ cater to vegetarians, but when all you have is interns I guess they have to follow a cookie cutter approach

One of the best experiences me and my husband had! Thank you so much to all the front desk staff, the housekeeping! Service was really top notch, with attention to detail and care! Most importantly we would like to thank the front desk supervisor Motoc for being so kind to upgrade our room to what we first booked! Our 1.3 year old baby had the best time in the jacuzzi and we had an unforgettable time as a family in that room! #111! Thank you very much it means a lot ❤️ Everything else was also worth every dollar! We definitely will be coming back :)

The Hyatt was a great place to stay while visiting Montenegro. I was with my two daughters (22 and 27). Our tour guides picked us up at the hotel each time (land and sea) for great tours. The breakfast was great with lots of variety and quality. We also enjoyed the different restaurants for dinner/lunch/drinks. The rooms were comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting on the beach and by both of the pools. We walked to old town one day which was long but worth the views. We also walked down the street to a great little restaurant on the water. I would highly recommend for a base hotel to explore!

I am currently staying at the Hyatt Regency and for a 5 star experience it is lacking in many areas. To start we arranged a taxi pick up via the hotel, our plane was delayed and the taxi was not there when we arrived, I had to call the hotel (at great expense) and was told that he was there and pretty much told that we were the ones who had missed him! We didnt and the driver eventually apologised for being late. When we arrived at the hotel there was no mention of it or any apology. Incredibly rude staff by the beach (not all but most). One of the beach staff dropped a tray of drinks (no issues as accidents happen) the glass actually hit the back of my sun lounger, none of the staff asked if we were okay (we were right in front of the accident). They did not clean up the glass and when I pointed out large pieces of glass (on the path and beach) they laughed and said not to worry! This is on a beach! They eventually cleaned it at least 45mins later. We asked one of the concierge to confirm what cruise boats would be in dock on what days and he said that he did not know and dismissed us! It took me 30seconds to find this out by googling it! This is only one of the concierge, the others are super helpful. When we tried to speak to a concierge one was not there, we asked a receptionist and they said we had to come back in 15mins and she did not bother asking if there is anything she could help with. Just told to go away. The umbrellas by the beach are small, old (some falling apart) and do not cover 2 sun beds and the beach staff refuse to give another umbrella! The standard coffee offered af breakfast is not good and if you want a decent one, you have to pay extra. Not a 5 star experience in any way. If you want a luxury experience do not stay here!

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort and were thoroughly impressed by its stunning location right on the bay, offering beautiful views and easy access to Kotor Old Town by taxi (€15-20). The hotel itself was immaculate, and the staff—especially the concierge—were exceptionally helpful, assisting us with restaurant bookings, taxis, and excursions. Breakfast was a highlight, running from 7-11am, which made it perfect for a leisurely start to the day. We also enjoyed several excellent meals at Olé Beach Bar, where the pizzas stood out. The spa and gym facilities were both well-maintained and a pleasure to use. The pool area was another strong point; it was rarely busy, so we could always find a sun lounger, and fresh towels were always available. The hotel also offers direct access to a private beach, which was a great bonus. There were a couple of drawbacks worth noting. During our stay, the hotel hosted a large wedding that went on into the early hours, which disrupted the usual calm atmosphere, particularly around the pool area. Additionally, we found the drinks, especially wine, to be significantly overpriced compared to local options—€45 for a bottle of Vranac that sells for €5 at the supermarket next door, and €24 at a reputable restaurant in Old Town. Despite these points, the overall experience was excellent, and we would highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort to anyone visiting the area.
