Vila Gale Cascais Hotel & Resort

Overall, this was a pleasant experience and nice atmosphere by the water and rock/sand inlet. The big slide in the kiddie pool is extremely dangerous and should probably be shut down. My son’s and other kids went airborne and slammed into the bottom of the slide. Elevators are small and back up. The restaurant on the first floor had a nice buffet with good food and drinks.

We really enjoyed our stay at Vila Gale. Was family friendly and the pool was a nice amenity after a hot day of touring. We had plenty of room for our family and the sea view and balcony were ideal. Walkable to shops and restaurants especially at the marina.

We had an absolutely lovely time, the hotel is situated perfectly near the ocean (our room had an incredible ocean view), walking distance from the marina, the city center (with plenty of restaurants, pharmacies, shops and bars) and tourist attractions nearby. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and generous- especially with my children. The kid's entertainers were amazing and my daughter straight away joined in on the fun. The swimming pools were clean and a perfect temperature. Importantly for me, the hotel capacity was perfect for that "not too jam packed" feel. There was plenty of room for all, we always found a spot by the pool for instance. The breakfast buffet was also very nice, my one request would be to please offer oat milk in future - I'm lactose intolerant and can't stand soy milk but it was the only alternative to cow's milk. Otherwise an excellent stay and we cant wait to return.

Hotel was good and the staff really friendly. The only thing that disappointed was the cleanliness of the swimming pool. There was a lot of ducks that seemed to stay on site that used the pool, and defecated in the pool. I had to scoop duck poo out of the pool several times and on the water you could see poo at the bottom of the pool and bits through the water when swimming. It was pretty off putting and unhygienic.

Great hotel

This is a family friendly hotel. Beautiful grounds and lovely pool. Super busy breakfast buffet but lots of options. Bed was a bit hard for me but that’s just my personal preference. Easy walk to the town. Overall I had an excellent experience and I highly recommend!

It was my first time in Cascais and I loved it! What a beautiful area of the world. The staff was helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay in this property again!

This is a great spot to stay in a quiet part of Cascais yet very close to everything. It is a second time staying there. It worked perfectly for the last night or 2 in Portugal before flying out of Lisbon.
