The Coral at Atlantis

We enjoyed our time at Atlantis! We stayed at the Coral this time (last year we stayed at the Royal). Dion at the bellman location was fabulous and Jessica Smith at Good Lies were standouts for their excellent customer service. My kids (8 and 11) had a blast and what is what was most important to us!

Positives…..The Resort is BEAUTIFUL. There are several restaurant options and spots to relax and recharge. The grounds are very well kept. A best of the resort is absolutely Danielle, the Queen of Customer Service. She has assisted both stays at the Coral and could not be kinder or more helpful. She is the perfect example for all to mimic! Alonzo at Sun and Sky in the Lobby (where you can grab a variety of food options throughout the day and evening) is another person that is all about treating guests with kindness and respect. So refreshing to interact with these two. Unfortunately there are negatives also that should be addressed by management. We did have several experiences with resort staff being very rude for example. It was quite off-putting! That makes a HUGE impact on your guests experience and the rudeness and dismissiveness is unacceptable anywhere. If management is interested in communicating about our other experiences, please feel free to reach out through this avenue. To future guests, just read the contract you sign at check in so you are aware of the additional fees that are added to each stay daily that are made available at check in and READ REVIEWS for valuable information before your stay. Such a great tool before you spend your money somewhere. For management, a really great way to get input on what truly needs your attention.

This place feels like a complete tourist trap and a money grab. Everything is overpriced for what you get, and the experience just isn’t worth it. I definitely won’t be going back. They over charged my credit card, they say it’s a deposit you will get it back, but no you don’t get it back.

Il complesso della struttura è molto bello e curato ma non basta

Partendo dall’inizio del soggiorno in cui abbiamo effettuato il check-in e la receptionist non ci ha degnato neanche di una spiegazione sulle eventuali attività nella struttura, e dopo diverse domande da parte nostra, che non hanno ricevuto risposta, ci ha invitati a scaricare un’app che era un banale richiamo al sito web; poi, abbiamo chiesto una brochure che in quel momento non era disponibile e solo dopo aver aspettato ci è stato portato un foglio di carta con le attività e i ristoranti dove mangiare. Le stanze non erano per niente insonorizzate al punto tale da sentire l’aspirapolvere che veniva passata nel corridoio, e per di più sono comunicanti, e questo faceva si che alle 8 del mattino si sentivano porte sbattere, schiamazzi di bambini e urla delle stanze adiacenti. A tal proposito, noi sapevamo fosse una struttura family friendly ma non pensavamo di dover avere a che fare con bambini e genitori provenienti dalla giungla. E per finire, non ci si aspetta che da un albergo del genere la stanza prevede la vasca con la tendina DI PLASTICA nel bagno.INACCETTABILE. Neanche negli alberghi anni 80 il bagno si presenta in questo modo. Vendendo alla spiaggia, i servizi risultavano essere ancora più carenti (nonostante l’infinito personale della struttura che a mio parere non faceva nulla se non fermare gli ospiti e chiedere la carta della stanza per assicurarsi fossero persone dell’albergo) in quanto i lettini non erano adeguati al numero degli ospiti presenti in struttura il che costringeva le persone a fare a gara per avere un lettino e non rimanerne senza. La sera è un mortorio, e gli innumerevoli bar presenti nella struttura sono deserti, fatta eccezione per la zona del casinò. Infine, la struttura mette a disposizione una lounge per poter fare una doccia e cambiarsi una volta effettuato il check out se si vuole fare una mezza giornata di spiaggia, il problema è che abbiamo dovuto aspettare ben più di mezz’ora per avere un asciugacapelli.
