The Grand Burstin Hotel

Location was handy

Tatty building, water was either dangerously scalding hot ( no warning) or freezing cold. Terrible beds, flat beer , half the lifts didn't work huge ques at reception ndue to many rooms not having towels or pillows.

Location was perfect. The view from the room was nice, Staff were as helpful as they could be with my complaints

The bed was uncomfortable. I could feel the springs and didn't sleep. Parking was ok, but could have done with more or to be able to reserve a space given the length of stay.

Ancient and well preserved structure,give you feelings like you are on a cruise

The bar areas were nice The breakfast was decent but no mushrooms!

The corridors of the hotel rooms had a bad smell The bedroom stunk of dampness and a lingering stale smell. The swimming pool ceiling needs major repairs Not much vegetarian options at breakfast

Loved the view, spacious room, radio on tv was good

Thin walls, woman in next room coughing and snoring so loud , not her fault the walls are not soundproof. But the last night I was there she woke me up so many times. The smoking was an issue too. Room smelt of cigarettes, lady did smoke in next room and it did blow into our room, but lots of people smoking outside on ground level and we had to keep balcony door shut to stop smoke, I have asthma quite bad .
