Wilburton Inn

Lovely place. Melissa is gracious hostess, rooms are beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Strawberry Villa for a family reunion and had a wonderful time. So much so…we have booked for next year!! Every room was very clean and room configurations were very accommodating for our large family. Pool was very nice and clean. Hotel part was beautiful although we did not stay there.

This place is a gem!! We had a wonderful time staying in one of the pet friendly villas. It was beautifully decorated and had a lovely view. We walked around and looked at all the amazing statues with our puppy Wolfy. And the pool was very nice after a long hike. I recommend this inn to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, and we will definitely be back!

Fantastic and charming accommodations with wonderful views and comfortable amenities. The north shire area of Vermont is simply amazing. The Wilburton was exactly the space, service and atmosphere I was hoping to find.

My family and I had such a wonderful time in Manchester, and staying at the Battenkill Valley Mansion gave us the perfect home base. All 20 of us stayed very comfortably in this huge, unique, cozy, funky home. Nothing was missing, everything was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended for large groups.

We recently returned from a Monday to Friday 4 night stay at the "Mansion" about a half mile from the Wilburton Inn; it's run by the same family. The Mansion is a sensational old and comfy building (late 19th century?) and unbelievably well set-up for a multi-generational reunion. Our family members drove/flew in from Denver, San Francisco, New York, Ottawa, Boston, Portland OR & ME and more! We were 23 adults, eight kids ages 3-13, and one infant. My son, a cook/restaurateur, ruled the kitchen and we all signed up to help at various meals. There's a great grill just outside the terrifically equipped kitchen. Of course, you can eat out, but eating in the large dining room was great fun plus there is a small dining room adjacent to the large one which the kids loved having to themselves. There's a great big gameroom, and the kids occupied themselves playing pingpong, foosball, chess, etc. and hide and seek throughout the big old three story house. There's plenty of space to play outside as well, (the old guys played bocci ball), and there's a very large lovely living room to relax, read, have drinks, appetizers, and hang out. We broke out in terms of activities, but, if you are there during a warm month; I can highly recommend Battenkill River for swimming and picniking as well as Hapgood Pond. Both just great. The rooms are large and comfy, and the proprietors friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

The Wilburton Inn was an amazing stay. Not only because of the lovely mansion but the staff (Meesha) was incredible! We were in town for a wedding and they were so accommodating. She even dropped us into town. Would recommend anyone stay!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Wilburton at the Wilburton Inn, located in the beautiful mountains in Vermont! The rooms are cozy and beautiful! We met the owners Melissa and Albert Just lovely people, we felt like family! We can't wait to return.

I discovered the Wilburton Inn when they hosted a magnificent wedding for my niece and I’ve been back twice since then– this last time with several family members. It’s a place like no other– very unique. The grounds are dotted with sculptures, which make a stroll in this mountain retreat all the more interesting. The rooms I’ve stayed in are beautifully decorated in a period style, and while large are still cozy. They also had mini fridges. My family found it a most relaxing get-way. We lazed on wicker lounges, swam in the pool and shopped in town, which is only a few miles away. The staff and inn keepers are so warm and friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. You come a guest but go home a friend!

A magical place. Total piece and relaxation. Nice restaurants nearby. Highly recommend for couples or families that want to getaway from hustle and bustle.

The Wilburton Inn is one of a kind. And the innkeepers are delightful! It’s not just a beautiful, quirky Vermont inn (which it absolutely is); it’s a full experience. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, each with a refrigerator and a Keurig Coffee maker, and overlook stunning landscapes. Ours had a deck facing Equinox Mountain, which became our morning ritual to greet. The inn is conveniently located about a mile from the charming village of Manchester, home to numerous first-class restaurants. During our stay, we explored the local arts scene—traveling to Bennington for a show at the Monument Art Center and visiting the Southern Vermont Arts Center. We also toured Hildene, the summer estate of Robert Todd Lincoln, the remarkably successful son of President Lincoln. A highlight was stopping by Earth Sky Time farm and bakery, a funky and welcoming spot, for coffee, bread, granola, and pastries. We returned the next day for more. We’ll definitely be back and look forward to becoming regulars at the Wilburton!
