Never again

Fridge's freezer iced over. Inside fridge was dirty. water kettle dirty. I booked for a week, and I got only 2 sachets of coffee, 2 sugars. 2 milk. 2 glasses NOT CLEAN . health risk. 2 cups dirty. Shower is Mouldy. water rose drips. seal on bath leaks. No tissues.

Was very disappointed in the condition of all the linen. Towels and sheets were NOT white or clean. Towels had stains on them. We were not supplied with hand towel or face washer. One tiny cake of soap was all that was provided. There was no blanket for bed anywhere or a quilt/bedspread. Curtains on window were not hanging very well. Bed mattress needs to be updated as it was uncomfortable to try and turn in. The room smelt of a mouldy aroma. Aircon needs to be cleaned. Filthy on top of it.

It is a budget hotel. Don’t expect anything more.

Worst place ever. Dirty linen, mould , cobwebs, corridors so dirty. Don’t waste your $$$

Everything was dirty. Only good thing was location.

The room was in a state of disrepair with mould and rust in the bathroom. There was a really bad mouldy smell in the room that made breathing difficult. There were stains all over the thread bare carpet. I was awoken in the morning with a strange man smoking on my balcony, which was rather scary.

My initial room was not up to the previous standard set a month ago on my previous visit, the bed looked like someone had been laying on it the pillows were all scrunched up not happy this time

I stayed at Cairns Southside International for just one night after arriving into Cairns late (didn't want to start driving at 11pm!). The place was easy to find, close to everything, and very nice. Rooms were clean, property was well kept. Checkout staff next morning were friendly. For the price, I thought this place was amazing.

Reception was closed when checking in Saturday afternoon. Got key from safe. The room was dirty and stunk, stairway and hall to room dirty with rubbish. Checked out immediately, put a note with room key in return box describing the room and asked for someone to call me. Never heard from anyone. $186 for a room not worth $30. Photos on website must be very old. DO NOT STAY HERE.
