Hotel Casa Dona Susana by Los Arcos

The hotel is very cute and the roof top is nice, but this is downtown so noisy. There is a lot of hotel noise and street noise which is somewhat expected in DT. The beds are hard! The staff is very friendly. The hotel smells like mildew and pool times are coming off. I’ve stayed here before and loved it, but they put all the money into the remodel of the bar and front and didn’t deal with mildew and room comfort. Overall, the location is great if you want to be DT and walk to everything, but next time I will stay somewhere else for comfort and quiet and hopefully won’t smell like mildew.

We loved it here! We have stayed across the street at Suites for the last 7 times. (Suites and Susana are with the Los Arcos group, we love Suites also). We decided to try Susana this time. It was great! Our room was very comfortable and we loved the 4th floor pool and area to sit and relax. The staff is fantastic and will definitely stay here again.

Yourself a favor, don’t be fooled by the high rating for this place. It is in the old Vallarta area. This is really dirty and the beach it’s filthy. The beach is super dirty and the dirty streets of the water is running into the beach abo

There were lots of pool tiles inside the pool that were either missing or loose both on the floor of the pool and surrounding the inside of the pool. The larger tiles were also extremely dirty and it felt like the pool could need a really good clean, although the water did appear to be clean and was a lovely tepid temperature

We upgraded to a balcony room, highly recommended.

The Beach. Been to PV and Mexico 20+ times and unfortunatley its neither relaxing or pleasurable. Entering the water it is extremely rocky. The biggest issue I have is the relentless number of vendors which is endless. Every 2 minutes somebody is approaching you and it just gets to be too much. It's out of control. The first Beach Club to offer "vendor free" I'm in. For this reason, if you want a relaxing time on the Beach this is not the place.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It's in a perfect location right in the center of town, but tucked away on a dead-end street, which made it quiet with no through traffic. One of the highlights was having access to the sister property across the street on the beach that offers a larger pool and two restaurants, which added a lot of value to the experience. The staff was outstanding — super friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to help with anything I needed. The only downside was housekeeping. While the room itself was clean and the bedding was comfortable, it felt like the cleaning staff was in a rush. They cleaned the room twice during my stay but never restocked the toilet paper, so I ran out by the end. Hand towels weren’t replaced either, although I did get four fresh bath towels, which was appreciated. The third time I requested housekeeping, it was never completed, though I suspect that may have been because I made the request later in the day. Despite that, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would probably stay again. Just a bit more attention to detail from housekeeping would make it a five-star experience.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice Mexican feeling getaway with friendly staff.

No hair conditioner. Coffee maker. No microwave. The above pool bar set their own hours even though they suppose to close at 6 pm. They don't tell you that you need to keep your wrist band before leaving and l had to dig thru the garage
