We had a lovely couple of nights at the Wheatsheaf it’s a very relaxed environment and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant both days and the food was fantastic. We will return

We had a great stay. Room great! Bath amazing! Staff friendly and attentive. We had a meal in the warm and vibrant pub. Nice breakfast too!

staff very welcoming and would do anything for you, cosy comfortable atmosphere, breakfast was great on both mornings with a large selection of both cooked and continental breakfasts.

Not sure if its to do with plumbing but the toilet flushing was the noisiest i have ever heard, not a problem for us but was worried of waking people up!

Lovely old building in a good location, the food was delicious and the bed was comfortable.

The room was very small, hot and in need of decoration/TLC. The paint was peeling off the wall next to the bath. Scuffs and marks on the walls everywhere. Water stains on the walls from ceiling. The room was incredibly hot, even with the fan provided (can only assume this room was located above the kitchen). The shower was very lack luster, with very little pressure and water in the tray drained very slowly, much like the sink. For a 4 star hotel I was expecting a lot higher standard for the facilities which is reflected in the price. This did put a slight dampener on the celebratory weekend for my wife.

My deluxe room had a shower head that didn’t “rain” And there was a leak into my bathroom overnight leaving puddle on the floor The room was a bit chilly but a heater was provided
