Imperial Hotel

Disappointed with Imperial. Dined at Helena’s restaurant - was seated right by the kitchen which had a very strong fish smell so we asked to be moved. They moved us to a better table, but then after 15 minutes of no service we had to ask one of about 5 young servers just standing around to order our drinks! Then we ordered our food and they asked if we wanted all 4 dishes at the same time to which we said yes. Got one by a different server, then the original server asked us if we had got our food yet. Then another dish came out, then the last two. Meal was ok, nothing special. Rooms face out to a side street and on our Sunday night the partying ended at about 330 am! Will pick a different place next time.

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were large and comfortable.

Centrally located hotel .. staff was a bit indifferent except for Frank who helped out anyway he could … afternoon tea was good but a bit (50€ )expensive … breakfast included was quite good

This property was sub par at best. Frank was the only friendly and helpful staff. Room was dingy , smelled of smoke and not acceptable

No window, no water pressure, and no liquid soap. Better places to stay.

Central location , rooms are OK . Got a drink I the hotel bar and was ignored by bar staff that served others ahead of me . Bar was very quiet - 3 people behind the bar. 17 euro for 1 pint and glass of Prosecco. Wouldn’t be in a hurry back ,

Stayed for a week for work. The website made the hotel look really nice. Actual experience not that great. Checked in to what i can only describe as a "granny flat". Everything was a faded floral pink, including the phone. Every surface was covered in a thick glass sheet, which made using an optical mouse for catching up on work impossible. Kept having to ask for my coffee to be topped up after they had serviced the room, as none was ever left. The view from the window (not a big deal for me as i don't stare out the window that often) was another rooftop sloping up from the base of my window. There were so many safety rails in the bath/shower. Like, an excessive amount. The tv was terrible. Channels weren't what the tv guide said they were, and kept freezing while watching. Staff were all friendly and competent, the bar was spacious (still distinctly grannyish though), the entertainment was awesome, and the food in the restaurant was amazing. The biggest let-down was the room, apart from that it was a good hotel.
