Hotel Roma

We stayed at Hotel Roma for 3 nights in April 2025. The hotel is very conveniently located just off the main square, about 30 min from the airport. All the main sights are within walking distance and there is a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops in the vacinity. The hotel is traditional but modern inside. What a gem! A quiet hotel with all the amenities. A lovely breakfast. Close to sights, shopping and dining. This was a Rick Steve's recommendation and I would stay there again.

A real gem. Attentive , helpful staff. Fantastic location. Extensive breakfast choices. Our room had an amazing view and was spacious and warm . Will definitely come to this brilliant hotel again.

The most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in! All the hotel is spotless, the staff are so polite and helpful. Breakfast is delicious as is their lunch and dinner menu. Seconds away from Piazza Maggiore and public transport and a short walk away from the spectacular attractions this City has to offer. The hotel itself is steeped in history. I can't wait to return. Thank you for a wonderful wonderful stay.

Nice Location , Good Check in - I had emailed in advance for a room with a view - we had no view - Room small - a little ‘tired’ compared to the hallways and reception - Breakfast was a good choice but staff not very friendly - It’s the little things that can make a hotel from Good to Perfect …. nearly there !! Perfect location for exploring the Quadrilatero area with easy access to most attractions. Attentive and friendly staff. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Excellent value for the location.

It’s my second stay at this hotel and I love it. It’s very traditionally Italian so don’t expect sleek and modern. But that’s how I like my hotels in Italy. The location is perfect - right in the historical centre and literally seconds away from great bars and restaurants and all the main sights in Bologna centre. The buffet breakfast is great and the staff really helpful.

Stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of October before moving on to Gabicce Mare on the Adriatic Coast. This historic and beautifully decorated hotel is ideally located in a pedestrian area near to the Piazza Maggiore and the Quadrilatero area with its music bars & cafes. We were allocated a top floor superior room which was brilliant but the weather was against us so we couldn’t make use of the balcony area unfortunately but we had an amazing view of the fireworks of the San Petronio celebrations on the last night. Breakfast was just ok with the usual cold continental choices, but the hot choices weren’t up to much. The guys in the breakfast restaurant worked hard and delivered great coffee which we appreciated. Overall it’s a decent hotel but think it’s far too expensive for what it is, but location is everything to some. Bologna is a lovely place to visit though.
