Excellent hotel. Old (as to be expected), but very clean and comfortable. Great service. Great location, with excellent shopping and dining all around. Would def return. easy (although limited) onsite parking.

a historical place on the city center like living in the history ,from oyr window you thought that at any time a duke will pass with his horse very helpul staff with the parking situation ,exellent breakfast ,just please change the blankets .. it is very old for a so splentit hotel

Hotel is an old building that retains grand staircase and furniture in common areas. Polite helpful staff. Breakfast buffet adequate. Very good lunch. Location is perfect with heart of Bologna in walking distance.

, they were very rude. We had an emergency situation to deal with. We had to leave to come home for a hurricane, we didn’t step 1 foot in their hotel. They said they wouldn’t charge us and they charged us $527. Very bad

A very pleasant stay after a not so easy journey. This very well located hotel has the most friendly staff (Marco, Christian and Thomas!!), clean AND large sized rooms, and a great restaurant. The location is in the old city, so right out the front door, you are in a pedestrian only zone. But it is easy to get a cab - they come right to the back door on the ground floor - no issues there at all. We stayed two nights, and they were the best two nights of our entire trip. The beds are comfortable, it is in a very quiet location, and like I said, the staff is great! This is a mid priced property that delivers a high priced experience!

Close to everything you can wish for. The buffet breakfast has incredible delicious range. The room is very quirky. Shower cubicle is small but everything is clean. No mouldy smell. I have a window which i can open. High ceiling does not made the room closed in.

This is a beautiful historical hotel on a pedestrian street off the main square, but quiet. It dates from 1785 and is the oldest hotel in Bologna. The main staircase was once one of towers seen in Bologna. There are two lifts and taxis can arrive on a small street at the back of the hotel. The reception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with Italian coffee ordered from the cheerful waiters This is not a flash chain hotel, but a characterful well maintained Italian hotel. I booked six single rooms for a ladies four night trip and we all enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Quaint hotel, great location, good breakfast, comfy bed. Perfect for us.

I’m bemused by the low rating of this great hotel on here. I stayed with my daughter for 2 days and it was brilliant! The staff were friendly and helpful, arranging taxis, looking after our luggage, helping with directions, lending us umbrellas etc. The room was large, spotlessly clean with an amazing view of the street and square. I especially liked the vintage green bathroom. Loads of fluffy towels, good toiletries and a great breakfast. In fact I loved it so much that I am coming back with my husband in December.

Great location, lovely suite, large bathroom, good options at included breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
