Sandcastle Oceanfront Resort South Beach

Beware before booking! Pool was and had been closed for a while. This was not disclosed when booking. Staff is very rude and not helpful about issues guest are having. Housekeeping was not seen for 4 days. This place has no right to call themselves a resort. It’s pretty much a room with beach access.

Dirty, cockroach. Bad service

Sand on floor in room, out dated and rusty appliances, rusty lamp shades, no housekeeping, had to take diry towels to front desk to get new ones, even thought we had a kitchenette, again, you had to go to front desk for things to go with the kitchenette. Pools not available and we were not informed of this at check in. We were told we could use the facilities at another resort that was 2 miles away. We were not told about the other resort until Wednesday via a note in the elevator, we arrived Sunday. Resturant on premises not open nor the tiki hut. Photos are misleading.

The property was not what it advertised. Its old. The picture frames were rusty as while as the shelves and stove. No kitchen utensils and once i went to ask they bring up a tote of dirty dishes with one butter knife and no forks. The baseboards were dirty headboard and dresser. The curtains had mildew spots. The sheets had spots and rings all on them. Behind the door was a open whole. Me and my family was very uncomfortable we left at 7am in the morning we were so ready to go. All pools were down the entire stay talking about an electric issues but they just were filthy. I hated it we spend to much money on this trash. And everyone who gave them a 10/10 are filthy too. I went off reviews and you disappointed me as well.

I liked that the room was huge and that the bedroom is completely separate from the kitchen are and the main room has a Murphy bed. You can close the seperating doors and make it two private bedrooms. I also love it has a parking garage so the car doesn’t have to sit out in the sun. Wonderful place

The workers were great for the most part ! Hotel doesnt look like the pitctures . Need some up dating and some fixing of stuff . The pools were down the whole time they keep saying tomarrow , tomarrow , and dont take some off your bill . No bar no food . You pay resort fee and you get your own towls and clean your own stuff.... only perk was it is right on the ocean !

Booked it for the hotel bar and both pools and hot tubs inside and out. None of them were open, nor was I informed that they were shut down. Asked for room service, which took forever to get. The staff seemed a little rude. If I had known all the items I booked it for, as mentioned above, were closed, I would have booked somewhere else because I could have gotten cheaper for what we were offered. I was hoping for some sort of discount or money back, but overall I still had a good time with my girlfriend.

Everything was broken. The pools was closed cause they didn’t work. Looks like maintenance hasn’t been kept up. The tv only has one channel. Hotel restaurant looks to have been closed for some time. Tiki bar closed. No entertainment. None of the amenities advertised for the hotel.

The pools didn't work the whole stay

The pools were closed during the entire week we were there. The front desk staff at check in didn’t even talk as we walked up. They just stared at us until we finally asked how to check in. The room was clean and safe, parking was good, and the beach access was easy. But the pools were disappointing, all restaurants/food were closed. It wasn’t a resort…it was a hotel room with beach access.
