Sandcastle Oceanfront Resort South Beach

The front desk staff was not professional work. I checked in at 4:00pm but she did not give me the room key because the room was not ready. She said I had to wait for 20 minutes and call me when the room is ready but she didn’t call me. After 1 hour, I came back to ask the room key again. The room was so terrible dirty.

It had a kitchen

The pools were close due to an electric issue. The restaurant in the hotel that was advertised was closed. The pool side cafe was closed. This hotel is not as advertised, very unhappy with my stay.

First arrived and our room was not clean. Moved us to another room and it was even worse. The pool and lazy river was shut down our entire stay. They never once came by our room and asked if we needed anything. The bar and grill in our hotel was closed the entire stay. The hotel is ran down and nasty. Do not recommend to anyone!

They have announced food and drinks on their sign was closed the 5 days we were there the hot tubs were continuously broken the room had scratches all in the floor

Older property, room door would stick, ice machine did not work, pools were closed, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Location to far south in Myrtle Beach.

Room was not ready until 2 hours after check in. All pools & spas were closed without explanation. Board of Health was on site removing guests from water despite multiple closure signs. No bar/snack bar was open. Children filled the on site gym despite the entrance facing the front desk. Toilet would not flush properly, calls to the front desk were picked up and promptly hung up with out being answered. Front desk staff was overwhelmed. Overall poor management and a disappointing time.

Check was fine .The pool was closed and there is no restaurant .

Rooms were clean

Definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all to others, all the pools were close the entire time we stayed and still charged us a $25 fee to access things, the pool bar were close entire time as well, I was told I will get a refund back on that and haven’t received it yet, my kids slept in their pullout bed and woke the next day with bumps all over them, they seem like didn’t care when I mentioned it to them and kept telling me the manager wasn’t in and didn’t know when he was going to be in, I wanted my money back and of course they offered me another room instead of my money back.
