The facilities beautiful, nice, room was clean but outside private pool area was dirty, dirty dishes left behind and pool was full of debri. Besides that, all was nice. Staff was very friendly.

"Exactly what you need and nothing more"

This hotel is great as long as you know primarily what you're paying for and that's your own enclosed terrace and easy access to two pretty good restaurants, a spa and pools in a nice amazon rainforest looking space. Once you realize that, it's easy to get past the small amount of space (assuming you have a standard sized room), the salty water coming from the taps and very much distressed looking mirror. Also, the service it great. The concierge will get you to wherever you need to go which is important given how far away from things the hotel district in general is.

This was a great experience. The hotel is set up inside of the jungle so trees are everywhere..throughout-in a beautiful way. The private pools and the room service was chef's kiss! I'd recommend and will return!

first and foremost, Max is absolutely the best! he’s helpful, responsive and kind. this is my 3rd time staying at Copal and Max has made each stay welcoming. Esmeralda at the front desk is also a pleasure. Claudio is amazing and helpful as well. Claudio is always so welcoming and kind no matter what. Claudio and Max are turtle the heart of this hotel and the reason I will continue to stay here. Unfortunately Johnny is not so pleasant and I would probably avoid him if necessary. There was a plumbing issue with my room and he was not very accommodating. He emphasized there would be a cost difference to change my room due to issues of the hotel, I found that very odd and compelling seeing that it wasn’t on my behalf. There also was no budging with this to be clear. It was quite upsetting seeing that I was in a room with a private pool and had to downgrade and was still being met with his nonchalant demeanor.
