Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa All Inclusive

There is a lot to like at this hotel, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, there are plenty of sunbeds at the pool and on the beach, there are plenty of food and drink choices and they were good. Labelling of food could be better, we didn’t always know what the dishes were at the buffets. Our room was dated, we had to climb into the bath for the shower and the road noise was a bit much, but it was kept very clean thanks to Iris our maid. The majority of the staff are great and friendly, service is hit and miss, sometimes it’s great and other times poor. We had breakfast and lunch at El Gran Azul which overlooks the pool, our favourite place to eat during the day, lots of choices re food and drink, there is an ice cream bar too. Our frustrations were staff not remembering to bring you coffee/tea/water after they had asked you so we had to try and get their attention to remind them, they didn’t cope well during busy periods, our biggest frustration was there is more than one entrance, guests should check in at the desk which is at one of the entrances, they take your room number and seat you, we did this along with many other guests and at times we had to queue but then other guests would just walk in choose a table and get served instead of been told they had to check in at the desk which is unfair to those who had checked in and were waiting to be seated. The hotel needs to either ensure the rule of checking in is followed by all guests or just allow guests to seat themselves. We didn’t use the beach as it wasn’t what we expected, quite rocky in places and not the clear blue Caribbean we like. The pool is huge! Plenty of room for everyone. There are pillared islands in the pool which are jacuzzis, which would be a nice place to chill with a drink but the pool itself is 5’ 3” deep so the kids used the islands to play as the were shallower, there were a lot of people throwing balls in the pool too so beware of this. The pool bar was good, but the bar staff were not too friendly, especially one of them. The pool towel hut ran out of towels frequently, we were at breakfast for about 8am so we picked up our towels then, if we had waited until we went down to the pool after breakfast at about 9.30am we would have been lucky to get them, they did have more throughout the day but they would go quite quickly. We want to thank the team at Kantenah lobby bar, especially Isobel and Javier, they were amazing and made the best cocktails!

I travelled in February 2026 and experienced an amazing wildlife on the hotel property, an amazing white sandy beach with palm trees and beautiful sunrises. The food was delicious, the WLAN worked perfectly and the staff was super friendly.

It’s a great resort with good overall service. Jesus at Sumptori is excellent and deserves a big pay bump! Locations a bit far from the airport but overall a good experience

My wife and I loved our stay. We will definitely recommend this resort and we hope to be back in the near future.

We had an amazing time, the staff is incredibly nice, the facilities absolutely perfect, food is very nice, beach is beautiful on the family side, and there is a lot of wildlife to see. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

The hotel is lovely. Too bad the food is "hit or miss" and not consistent with the rest of the resort. I found most of the restaurants requiring reservations disappointing, except for the Japanese restaurant. The gym, pools, and activities on site are wonderful. If they could just fix the food issue this would be the complete package.

Room, beach, pools are wonderful. Family selection is worth it. Buffets are cafeteria quality food. A la carte restaurants are hardly different from the buffet food. I would not come back simply due to the food. Adults are not allowed on the slides, nor are smaller children. The kids pool with slides was too cold to even go in. The family selection was the only pool that was an appropriate temperature for small children (age 2-5). Too far from the airport for my preference. Lastly, you can't get food anytime you want. Buffets are only open certain hours of the day. This pregnant mama only wanted an ice cream at 4pm and couldn't get one!

Galicia was absolutely fantastic. The best 80 minute massage ever. She is an expert masseuse and I would highly recommend Galicia.

VERY disappointed this time, been at Grand Palladium 4 times before and LOVED it. New changes in January of 2026 targeting mind & body and family friendly focus not what we wanted nor what we thought we bought.

This is an amazing resort! Friendly staff at every corner. Amazing food and tons of options between numerous buffets and several à la carte restaurants. Beach is picturesque perfect and safe gradual entry, good for families with young children. They do an amazing job of taking care of the grounds, which feature many palm trees and beautiful bridges through the resort grounds. Property is in great condition and beautiful finishes everywhere on the resort. The entertainment is top notch and the Mexico night cannot be missed! Great shows and atmosphere. This was our 2nd time staying at the Grand Palladium with our family and we will definitely be back again. Thank you!
