Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa All Inclusive

My husband and I did the Romantic Dream Ritual massage which included a 50 min massage, and 25 min body exfoliation, and 25 min facial. Our incredible massage therapists were Josefina and Ernesto. The beds were comfortable, the massages were amazing, and we left feeling relaxed and glowing. Josefina and Ernesto made us feel welcome and comfortable the whole time and are extremely skilled! I highly recommend this spa.

From the time we got there it was a let down. Upgrades were paid for but not given. Hidden fees were charged at check in, cartel thugs were selling drugs on the beach and using the tiki bars tap machine for transactions. When we went to check out they told us we could leave until we paid made up charges total charges were over 250 American. We were held hostage by the staff and bus drivers until we paid.

Got extorted by staff that was working with cartels, food made me sick, service was atrocious. 0/10!

We came for a wedding and will definitely be back to enjoy and experience more of this beautiful resort and the amazing friendly helpful staff, was a pleasure

Would definitely come back to this resort with the kids. Great resort and not to massive to get around.

Had dinner at sumptuori, was great, my son had a beast and was even allowed to cook with the chef. Jésus our server was very professional and friendly

Excellent food and outstanding staff We had a wonderful dinner at The Nest at Grand Palladium Riviera Maya. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing, and the food was outstanding. Special thanks to Chef Oscar — the Oscar definitely goes to Chef Oscar! Big thanks as well to our servers Antonio and Marcelino for their exceptional, attentive service. Please recognize the staff for their professionalism — they truly made our evening special. Highly recommended!

Japanese hibachi restaurant, Jesus was our server, Juan was the cook. Excellent service, very friendly, great experience.

Not what it used to be. Beach is amazing but food , service and cleanliness has gone downhill. For the amount of money I would try somewhere else. Food here reminds me of work camps and the restaurants are designed to make the same buffet food look better. Rooms were dirty and the food is handled with zero sanitation.

We arrived December 31 to stay at he Kantenah family select (FS) for 12 days. Check in was easy, the family select guests have their own check in area, which also has video games and a lounge are, baking goods, coffee, water, etc available 24 hours. We stayed in Villa 50 in a swim up room, it was clean and modern. This villa is less than a 2 minute walk to the beach and about a 5 minute walk back to the lobby. If you're a beach goer the family select area is the way to go. It's for family select guests only with headrests on the loungers. There are speakers spread out through the area playing chill music, like Thievery Corporation or Schwarz & Funk, that's the style that plays all day, very relaxing. There's a beach bar close by, as well as beach restaurant and beach area close by that is roped off for adults only. If you're there with kids you can go over and grab food then bring it back to the no-adult area no problem, food was great. I have to mention the servers in the family select area, Joel and Leo. They were both very friendly and did their best to ensure we were properly hydrated! Also thanks to Israel, he manages the Balinese beds (there's a daily charge for these) and is happy to help anyone that needs anything. One of our teenagers had a birthday while we were there, Israel set up a Balinese bed with balloons and brought him a personalized birthday cake - it was a birthday he won't forget, we are very grateful for the service everyone Israel and everyone on the beach and bartenders/cooks for making everyday a memorable one! If we go back we would definitely do the family select again. The only thing I can think that may be an issue was we could hear chairs being moved above us in our room. If it happens in the night it can be a loud noise as the floors are all tile. If you're a light sleeper that could possibly affect you. The Nest buffet is for FS guests, and we could walk in anytime for dinner and easily get a seat. There's an other buffet nearby for the rest of the resort and there were lineups every night to get in. The food was good. I think you'd have to be a very picky eater to not find something you liked. For example the Nest had a decent sized buffet, but you could also order a la carte if you so desired. We also ate at La Hacienda, La Adelita, La Paisana, Bahia e Brasa, Portofino, and Sumptuori. Each one was good - it's a matter of personal choice which you prefer. The teppanyaki show at Sumptuori was excellent! All of the servers and staff at he resort are friendly and helpful, we didn't have any negative experiences anywhere. Unfortunately the restaurant availability has now changed, so we were glad to have access to all of them. The sports bar was open 24/7 and had typical fare, burgers and fries, some Mexican food, nachos etc and drinks of course. Lots of tv's to keep you occupied. Our 2 teenagers used the teen club, it has a pool table, ping pong, video games, a music room, and a 2 lane bowling alley (cost), our boys went there for a visit at some point everyday. The FS pool is directly behind the teen club, and although we didn't use it (we love the beach) it looked quite nice. All in all it was a great experience, we are experienced travelers with kids of varying ages. We are pretty easy going, but I would say if the place was lacking. The fact that I'm sending this review is a positive as I don't normally do reviews. We look forward to going back again!
